Research the monk that haunts Kings Road, Portobello! I’ve seen him, with a witness. He’s connected to the land so I think there must have been some kind of monk structure there back in the day. I found out that the monks from Holyrood Abby used the land for grazing livestock, following the fresh water source of the burn that comes out onto portobello beach and into the Forth. I’ve also told someone the story and they said “oh that’s weird, an old guy I was talking to down Portobello said there is a monk that haunts Kings Road!” Id love to tell you of my encounter, this was a full bodied apparition of a monk that looked as real as both of us that witnessed him. Also, he wasn’t good, I felt a very strong feeling of dread from him!

I stayed in Royal Circus a few years back so I'm giddy about this video. Whenever I stay in one of those old Georgian houses I always get this spooky feeling like I'm about to walk down the hall and run into a ghostie. They reek with old air and they've been standing for so long. Also, that church at 14:07 is where my maternal grandparents were married. Saint Stephen's.

Another excellent video! I will never forget an encounter I had up by the Culloden battlefield. We (some friends and I) journeyed up from Wales to find some specific clan markers as some of our ancestors fought in the battle. We found them, walked the field, spoke with locals and after a long walk into the evening we joined a larger group of wild campers for supper and drinks so bedded down with them. The next day we walked back to the field, not sure why as id covered it the day before but as I stood by my clan marker, a heavy hand patted my shoulder several times. I turned expecting to see my friends but was alone there, theyd gone off to the small house nearby. After id turned around, i felt it again like a heavy handed push or pressure between my shoulders. Like if someone pushed you forwards but not aggressively. Very peculiar as when this happened i couldn't hear a thing no birds, no breeze it was so strange. Nature sounds all came back at once. I felt very low and angry for some hours after but have been back since and always feel comfortable there now. Its a special place that seems to draw some back. Scotland is home away from home

Another great story! I'm really enjoying these. I lived in Edinburgh on two separate occasions around 40 years ago. Despite not being particularly 'sensitive' to the supernatural, I did have a number of strange experiences in almost every flat I lived in, (one or two of which were later confirmed by fellow flatmates), plus another experience in a workplace, and have always been naturally drawn to historical places. In comparison to other Scottish cities I've lived in, I think Edinburgh is a very haunted city indeed.

The ghost at the Circus may simply have wanted to be acknowledged. It's a common cause for a haunting. They only appear as a "I'm here and you may stay if you behave properly." The psychic's experienced demeanor convinced her so she no longer needs to show herself.

If the ghost of the woman means no harm, why is she portrayed in the corridor like a horror image from "The Ring?" Seems a tad unfair.
