PaulTurbo In his later shows, The Ghoul would overdubb dialogue in the movies. Once there was a bunch of teenagers dancing and he dubbed in polka music. Another time there was a swamp creature in a horrible cheap outfit. When the creature came out of The water, we hear, "Hiya gang, Hiya, Hiya, Hiya...,"

This is one of the reasons I have a warped sense of humor! I watched the Ghoul on WKBD Ch 50 on Sat nights in Flint Mich. I wrecked my older sisters love life by refusing to go to bed and allow her and her boyfriend to make out. Her boyfriend loved the Ghoul too, maybe more than my sister!

The guy's name was Ron Sweed and man I remember him well. I would watch the Goul on Channel 61 out of Cleveland on my neighbors then "Alliance Tennarotor". There was no such thing as cable back then in the early 70's. Yes, the movies were corny. But, this was legendary entertainment in a time when children played outside ,a computer was a room full of machines and the word "internet" was not in our vocabulary..

This is not only sick but a complete reversal of the true Froggy's nature. The real Froggy (on "Andy's Gang") was a deep-voiced wiseacre who always got the best of long-suffering, gravel-voiced Andy Devine.

Frightening contemplations of youth. I grew up in Oakland CA and I still remember the magical summer i which his show was syndicated on KBHK channel 44 in San Francisco and we could enjoy both The Ghoul and Bob Wilkins. I thought he was hysterical the way he tore up Froggy. Of course, the sickest amongst us kids did this shit to our toys in real life but this in no way blunted the novelty of an adult doing this on television.

I don't think they played this in New York in the 70's, they would just show this clay animation hand and a creepy voice that said Chiller during commercial breaks........ I'd fall asleep so many times, they played some seriously bad films and that was before riffing started. The good old days weren't all that good. I would have loved watching this guy back then. The Chiller opening is posted if you search Chiller you'll see the hand, that was the best part of watching the movie.
