ERRATA: At 51min, talking to Sidney Togumi, is Michele Gallizia. Thanks to Carlo Perini for the correction. Carlo Perini had also been running close to Sidney and Michelle, and completed the race in 136hr 53 min. Apologies.

Hi! I was a participant (not finisher) in 2015 edition of the TOR. Due to gear issues, I had to withdraw in Chalet D'Epee. I will try to get an entry again next year (2018). Of course, before trying two years ago I viewed almost every video on YT to get a bit of an idea of what was to come. Nothing really compares to what it does really feel to walk those trails but your video is the best one I've seen, by far!!!!!!! A new favourite video. Can't wait to get home and watch it again on a big screen.

Thank you so much for your kind comments! I wanted to show the race from the point of view of the majority of the runners (not the elite) and really all the details that would help people who want to do this race. In 2016 I was there supporting my husband and I tried to put this video together with the footage I had, which wasn't much. As he hadn't finished it in 2016 (he fell and hit his head, was feeling dizzy and had to stop at Niel, 192km), so I also didn't have much footage past the point he stopped (however I was lucky enough to have wonderful friends who helped me with their footage). But this year my husband came back and completed the race and as I was familiar with the area and course, I have much more footage and hopefully I will make a better video this time - so watch out for it, I will try to edit it as soon as I can. Another highlight for me was that this year, at La Thuile, the checkpoint that is in a cinema, I was so happy to see they were showing my movie there! How cool was that? Anyway, good luck with it next year, I am also so in love with this race and will try to get a spot as a competitor next year, fingers crossed for us! :)

Thank you! I am very glad to hear that it motivated you - that's why I like making videos like that. It was trully inspiring to witness this race and see what people can do and I wanted everyone to feel the same inspiration. I will be back there this year to make another video and (hopefully) I will run it next year!
