Your combined talents of storytelling, filmmaking, humility, and physical and mental strength make you an above average human being Jeff. Thank you for capturing the soul of the races you compete in, commentate on, and support others in. I am very pleased I found your channel. It is fast becoming a secret weapon in my own Ultra Running journey.

Immersive, inspirational, emotional and engaging. Jeff, you create rare works which are a marvellous counterforce to the negative signals that resound around us. For me, I watch your videos and certain questions arise - what are my limits?, can I be a better person tomorrow than I am today?, how can I engage others to experience the joys and strengths that come from a physical outdoor life?, etc. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. My wife, kids and I are moved regularly by your journey and also spend as much time as we can self-powering in our beautiful country. In 2019 we were hiking in the Italian/Swiss alps and Norway. Thanks too for bringing us back to Europe during our lockdown! Cheers from Sydney - Dave

More cowbell! I almost didn't watch this video and I'm so glad I watched it! One set of my grandparents immigrated from Switzerland ~1917 and ended up in Portland, Oregon; soon other family members followed. My cousins managed a small fishery on Lake Lucerne from generations back. I traveled there in the 80s, but I don't know if I will ever see it again. Your film made me appreciate the Alps and surrounding areas so much more! I love the sound of the cowbells; it must be in my blood.

Not great, not nice, not awesome...just beautiful. I have never seen such an indescribable documentation. The perfect cut of different scenes (POV, landscape, people etc.). Your respect for the alps/nature, the volunteers, the people comes out in every second. All this combined with a soft voice and silent music that fits to every scene. Everything is on point and watching your video was def. one of the best 45 min. Thanks for sharing your journey !

The first video of yours I watched was the Quebec Mega Trail and this is the second. I have from my youth been a runner including 4 marathons, but what you both do is amazing. We now live in Australia where much of the natural beauty here has been destroyed by fires and floods. I have so enjoyed seeing the natural beauty of Canada through you videos. Thank you both very much and best wishes for your future endeavours. George Brett

What a great film! This is some quality stuff! That condition of extreme exhaustion I keep hearing about in ultra running films is familiar to me from when I worked as a truck driver. Short term memory loss, blackouts, totally forgetting where I am and why (my favorite), loss of balance, the limits of caffeine, and yes, food works for me when coffee stops working too! I've had more 36 hour shifts than I care to remember, not to mention the cumulative sleep deprivation when you get only a couple hours a night for multiple days. It sounds kinda fun to me to experience that while on my own feet in nature, dangerous but fun.
@JeffPelletier2 жыл бұрын
Interesting how similar that is! Just goes to show how important sleep is, whether doing a physically or mentally demanding activity.

Great video and amazing finish. It's now 4am but I couldn't stop watching. A few years ago I was running some much shorter trail distances of 80k, once even 100k - but with climbs of only 2000-3000m. I am in amazement you climbed 24km. From the small glimpses shown you seemed to have backed yourself early on to do this with little sleep - well done and thanks for taking the time to film along the way. It will inspire and help many current and future runners.
