I’m with you on that. It took about 10 years to get to a Super Bowl from the 89/90 season to the 99/00 season and about 18 seasons before we finally won again in 07/08. It’s been only 13 seasons since our last one, so I’m not angry. Just patiently waiting like usual.

What the New York Giants need...a head coach with a proven track record. Tired of the coordinators getting their feet wet with the Giants and it being an utter mess. Call Pete Carroll and offer him the keys to the organization. He has won every single place he went and built cultures that were rock solid. I know his age isn't ideal but at this time he's the best option.

They still haven't prioritized fixing the online, which has sucked for 10+ years. They hired a coach with no head coaching experience. They traded up to draft Daniel Jones and then they gave him a contract for an elite QB. They won't fix these mistakes. Jones isn't going to bench himself, and Daboll and the GM aren't going to fire themselves. All these problems are because of the owner, Mara; and he refuses to correct them. Folks, don't waste your time supporting this team. The owner doesn't care about you. There are a billion better things to do on a Sunday than watch this circus.

When you have a 7rh overall pick LT that you tried and failed to convert to a RT, then your LT goes down, and you have to raid someone's PS for a LT that you start that week? while your first rounder sits on the bench. This team only has a couple guys who are legit game changers. Dexter is obviously #1 on that list. Nabors might be that sort of guy. Tyrone Tracy is developing into that sort of guy. There are other guys who could be part of a winning team, but mainly, its a bunch of guys who take turns making the sort of avoidable mistakes in critical situations that lose games. DJ needs to find a new NFL home for his sake and for the Giants. We need a QB who can lift the play of his teammates. He ain’t that guy. DJ is a good guy, a hard worker, and would probably succeed in a strong organization. But he doesn’t hit enough plays in critical moments when the game is on the line.

Jets fan here - I think Daboll is the real deal and should be given another shot, but a miss at QB (as well as the stubborn insistence on staying with him) will torpedo an entire team. The Giants should’ve realized this and not given him a deal, much less gotten rid of Saquon to afford him. Joe Schoen and the personnel department have been bad.

How many times do I have to read this shit? The team offered Saquon multiple deals, he said no each and every time. The Giants then secured Jones and worked on getting an offensive line. As for Brian Daboll, you must not watch a lot of Giants games - his decision making sucks, he is unable to build rapport with his coaches and some of his play calls are atrocious.

There’s no foundational players to build off of, especially from the first 2 drafts. This 3rd draft is carrying heavy, but it’s not a good thing to have so many starters who are rookies. Because our two previous drafts have busts & duds all over. Who’s Schoens most foundational player? Nabers? Thibs? Wandale? McFadden? None of them hold a candle to Dex, AT, (previously Saquon) - all Gettleman picks. Schoen is not it. He & Dabs need to go

We are just a bad team. Plain and simple. We don’t do anything great, although we are sacking the QB. However, this singular talent is often spoiled by a lack of total defense. Our sacks rarely change the game to our advantage as they do for other teams, because we aren’t strong anywhere else on defense. What gets me is that the coaches we’ve chosen since TC, have all let their strengths become weaknesses, and haven’t done much to improve our team. “In neutral” is a great way to put it, I just simply say we are a bad team with a few good players, but without a winning philosophy and the moxie to go out and put it all together. It may start with DJ, but it ends with some poor coaching and a front office that hasn’t clearly defined what direction we are going. And the frustrating part is that the owners haven’t stuck with anyone long enough to at least send us in a direction. When we did have a more complete team we had poor coaching and bad drafts. Now we lack overall talent and are wasting someone who probably would be a good coach, and clearly JS is a good GM. We are going to have to nail the draft and FA, otherwise I’m not sure you don’t see a large chunk of folks who’ve been longtime fans finally say this is it, I’m done.
