+BB1349 No one even said anything about finns and scandinavia so what are you rambling about? And nice try but please read at least wiki page before talking BS. Baltic languages are totally different from finno-ugric language group that finnish language is part of. Another thing: Finland is not categorized as scandinavian country not because of language but because of location and they are located on the *scandinavian peninsula* which makes it strange why they are excluded from the "real" scandinavia. Oh, in my experience only people who are really, really, really particular about Finland not being part of scandinavia (and they seem to be actually offended by saying that) are swedish and some trolling finnish. Why it's so sore spot for them, i don't know. But anyway, to calm this troll down and prevent aneurysm, we'll just substitute the 'scandinavia' with 'nordic' and you can again continue breathing :)

I'm not sure if you've ever seen the show Eureka before, but people are always asked "If you can have one of the inventions, which would you pick?" My answer would be the one Fargo used to not sweat while wearing a suit during a heatwave. That's the dream man. I've gone to job interviews where I have to put my suit on in the bathroom a few minutes before hand to minimize the sweat stains. On the elevator ride to the office I always see these lawyers wearing designer suits and I'm like "How the hell do you wear those all day and still be fresh 'n clean?!"

@Dingdong27307 жыл бұрын
You'll find most Scandinavians are really good at English. We are 5 countries(including Finland), and we speak 5 different languages, but we're less than 20 million people. Although Danes, Norwegians and Swedes can somewhat understand each other, it makes better sense to speak english most of the time anyway. Pair that with the fact our countries are so small, so we have to do a lot of our trades internationally, and most good programs on TV are english. We've also begun teaching kids english in school from when they're 6-7 years old, and it's seen as a big virtue/important skill to be as fluent in english as possible.
@ApeWatchingTV7 жыл бұрын
It's not at all impressive. The US and UK are some of the only developed countries where being bilingual is special. Most people nowadays aren't monolingual. Americans and brits are so lazy because their language is spoken by so many that they don't bother learning a new language.

Sattack210 They're spewing their shit on us men. And when you argue back you're either a sexist or racist. Men aren't doing anything (obviously some do) and are just taking their shit. You're not allowed to criticize anything they do, it's just sick. The worst thing is that they have no facts whatsoever. Our extremist "feminist" marxistisk communist party (Feministiskt iniativ) got 3 percent of the votes. DON'T LET YOUR COUNTRY BECOME LIKE MINE.

Sattack210 I know it's bad worldwide. Whatever you do DON'T vote left. If you vote left you are supporting these marxist feminist communists. We're 10 times worse than any other country. Sweden is the result if tumblr was a country. I see these hairy feminists with nose piercing every single day. It's a fucking joke. I don't think the US is nearly as bad as it is here, you should be thankful for not living here.

I find this kind of journalism so interesting. This will be my first year studying journalism hope I'll be able to do something similar in the future.

I've never felt attracted to this kind of men, but seeing them outside the gym, talking candidly about their everyday's life and struggles I've realized that their roughness and toughness is only external. I beat they are very loving men with their families and women.

+AnelyMG big strongmen like them are usually fairly kind and a genuine, because most of them where the fat kid growing up and where made fun of.

+Bob Doe I would also wager they have fewer insecurities to deal with. They don't have to act strong because they know that they are.

It is odd watching this, as a strongman, i know some of these guys (amateur strongmen often get to meet these guys its a much smaller community than mainstream sport) and i know everything about the sport and its history the way you know your family. This is one of the first times ive seen a documentary created outside the strongman circle, created without the assumption that you know who these guys are and what the sport is. Any other time its been to ridicule. To laugh at their freakish strength and their 'odd' ways. I really appreciate vice's ability to show the true side to this stuff without resorting to stereotype and ridicule. For me, it has given them credibility, in my eyes, when they explore topics i am not so intimately familiar with. Bravo vice.

That’s one thing I’ve always admired and truly enjoyed about vice. very open minded. They seem to truly care about the story. what makes it worth listening to digging deeper into that storyline. I can say I’ve enjoyed multiple docs from there playlist. never disappointed.
