As a 7 year old Redskins fan in NoVA, Larry Brown was my favorite player. So great to see him featured today!

The sad part is after the 72 season, the injuries caught up to him and the less touches he got and rushing yards went down until he retired after the 76 season.

Most running backs were lucky if they lasted 5 years back then. The average NFL career was 3 years in the early 1970s.

the veterans committee needs to put him in the hall of fame. guy was a beast with heart and toughness unmatched by any running back in the 70's

As a K-State fan, I am proud of Larry Brown (who played for my Wildcats in college), even though his career was before my time...

At the start of the video I thought you were talking about Wink Martindale, calling out Lamar and guaranteeing a win over the Ravens…I thought maybe I was living in some sort of alternate universe.

I also played golf with Brown in the 1980s. Poor guy had sacrificed his knees playing for the Redskins

As a lifelong a Redskins fan Larry Brown, Sonny and Taylor were my favorite players when I was younger. Watching them play at RFK was great especially the NFC championship win against the hated cowboys. However the Gibbs years with Riggins and the Hogs were even better. You could fell the upper deck sway from the twelfth man.

Yes, I’m not a Redskins fan, but that stadium was rocking. I always enjoyed watching televised games at RFK - the atmosphere there was supercharged - the real turf, the fans so close to the field of play, the deafening noise. The 70’s and 80’s were the best era of the NFL.

12:14 Which is worse than if you did nothing but spike the ball into the ground on every single play. JG9

Ironic that the proto-"Bottlegate" and the actual "Bottlegate" both involved plays that heavily featured former Kansas State Wildcat players. The play that was negated to trigger "Bottlegate" in Cleveland was an apparent pass completion to Browns receiver Quincy Morgan, who had played for the Cats prior to his NFL career...

The Giants? DC of that juggernaut known as the G-men of the early 70s said that? They couldn't make .500 if they had Lombardi as OC and Landry as DC again.

This unofficial Official Jaguar Gator 9 historian will remind everyone you made a video about what happened to Jim Garrett when the Giants played the Raiders in 1973.

In defense of the Giant's DC, it should be emphasized that Larry Brown was not the MVP when the Giant's DC made these comments. LB was a few games over halfway through his MVP season when the comments were made, and this wasn't a situation like Lamar, where it was very apparent that he was winning his first MVP award several weeks before the end of the season. _As a lifelong Washington fan, it makes me ill to defend anything to do with the Giants._ I do agree with the overall point that LB was having a monster year and it's very stupid for a mediocre DC to poke at the guy having a monster season.

In 2011 the Eagles owner Lurie declared the Eagles as the dream team and watched the Giants win another super bowl that year

"This is Lamar Jackson, he's really good at football" except in January. I'm a Steelers fan, I have to dunk on the Ravens....and the Bengals....and the Browns.

JG the Giants were bad in the 1970s it's no shock that they would lose to the redskins or any decent team at that time this trash talk you're talking about here goes on all the time

I replayed that part 4 times, but I think he just misspoke. FYI - Snead went 14-of-26
