What's hilarious is that he JUST KEEPS GOING. "Off the crossbar! ... Eastern Michigan with a big kick to tie it! ... 3-3!" I can't remember what game it was, but there was a Browns game a few years ago where the PBP guy was similarly clueless on a missed PAT. He even said the wrong score as they were going to commercial break when the proper score was on the screen.

Someone in the comments to a copy of the video explained it. He said that the University of Toledo stadium commentary boxes are on the sideline, and looking at it from the side angle, he couldn't really tell where the ball was. He should have looked at the play on the screen next to him, but instead he just looked at it live and got confused.

Another baseball one that comes to mind is from the late great Harry Caray (although you could probably make a long video of his bloopers). A guy hit a high pop fly on the infield. Harry said something like "Popppppped it up. He'll never miss that one" and then must have looked away before it came down because the guy did miss it and the next thing you hear is Steve Stone saying "well, he just did". Haha They both laughed hard at that one.
