Seeing the grader coming must be the greatest sight on the track.

Hi guys, thoroughly enjoyed watching your video of your great experiences. We’ve been 18:44 up and down the GRR 7 times and the memories started flowing back. I want to go again but the body won’t allow it anymore. Enjoy your journey and the experiences 😊😊

I have done the Gibb many times 2017 was last trip I found it just fine! Road north to kulumbaru was badly corrugated Road into Mitchell falls was bloody terrible but it usually is People need to adjust tyre pressures to suit conditions and SLOW down! Enjoy the trip ! Last time on the Gibb the only problem was I blew a stop light globe ! I have always had landcruisers but this time I bought a Hilux If you think these roads are rough don’t attempt the canning stock route ! Cheers guys

Fully agree mate seen so many people not too pressures and just going full noise with someone cracking our windscreen because of it! Love the Gibb it’s a beautiful place! Cheers for watching mate!

Great vid, we did East to West June 2022 and the GRR was like a highway! We did it with a slide on camper, the next time will be with our 2010 Lotus Trooper! Very smooth, Kulumburru Road wasn't though... Home Valley was closed; Elenbrae Scones! Yes Mikayla - Jam then Cream and sometimes even Butter first 😍

Got to cover the whole scone surface with jam and cream. They know how to make a scone there. I agree, roughness of the road depends on traffic volumes and when the grader went through. Sometimes you get lucky. The camping options increase when not towing. Enjoyed watching this. Brought back some memories.

Fantastic episode, thanks for that. Do you find the dark colour of the caravan very hot. Just ordered one and have to decide between the dark colour or the white one. Thanks

Pleasure mate thanks for watching! Na not at all mate, if you are in 40 degree heat dark or white will be hot! We have a white Lotus as well and don't notice any difference mate. Cheers Bernard and congrats on the van!

Thanks for coming across the channel mate! We had no issues at all, we got up early and did the Gorges she couldn't come to and left her in the van while it was nice and cool. I think it all comes down to how your dog behaves etc with how your experience would be mate. We love taking Jorja around Australia with us! Cheers!

Great tips guys did you find it difficult to travel with a dog ? as lots or van parks and national parks prohibit dogs , also did you need to worry about snakes and the 1080 bates everywhere? Any tips please on travelling with your dog would be great thanks !

2 questions. Did you feel you were restricted getting into places with your dog? Was the motorbike for emergency transport?
@Travellingcampers3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jon! Was quite easy with the dog didn’t restrict us too much we made it work! Also the bike is for exploring mate ☺️
@jonsteele17833 жыл бұрын
@@Travellingcampers Hay thanks for the reply mate. I've been watching/enjoying ur vids.nice bike. I've watched a few videos of up that way and some had said because of the heat as well as dogs not being allowed in national parks the it was unwise to bring a dog, so I wondered of your expirence or thoughts on this.

How’s the van holding out? Any dust? We did the gibb a few years ago and our trailer got hammered with dust
@Travellingcampers3 жыл бұрын
Honestly haven’t had one drama mate, had the slightest bit of dust at the foot well at the bottom of the door but that was it. We got a dometic dust reduction system and seems to do the job real well! Seen some pretty damaged vans across our travels but most still just don’t air down and travel way too fast!
@brad2020ify3 жыл бұрын
@@Travellingcampers very good to hear. We saw our first lotus caravan at el questro and I have wanted one ever since. We pulled the trigger a couple of weeks back on a 19ft trooper. I am watching you guys closely and have my fingers crossed that everything holds up haha. We want to do the Gibb again but in a van this time instead of a trailer! Safe travels and fingers crossed nothing breaks!
