Hey Willy, I have had this question for a while, when you bodyboard shore break is there a way to get dumped less or do you just have to endure the pain and hold down, thanks in advance!

Don't hesitate, paddle hard, get onto the wave quickly, hold on and ride it for as long as you can. That'll prevent you from being taken over the falls or being dumped in odd positions. When the wave breaks on you, it's going to smash you and sometimes pick you up and slam you no matter what, so relax your body and tuck your head in a bit. That should lower the risk of hurting your limbs and your neck while the wave does it's thing. You want to avoid having your neck or spine bent backwards or sideways if you get driven into the sand.

there definettly is ways but I couldn't say it's the easiest thing to explain. I suggest instead of getting into a closeouts and then trying to jump off your board stay on the rail and keep riding the whole way through , usualy hitting the sand or getting pushed under into bad positions happens when you get flipped onto your back so if you keep riding through as far as you can you might either not be rolled onto your back or if you do it will be once the most powerful part of the wave is over . also sometimes if you keep riding once the lip hits the water the underside of the barrel will have the water surface tension disturbed and it will then be (in some cases) relatively easy to push under and through the back of the wave
