For those unclear on how this message was on discernment: the purpose is to break down our misconception of what the spirit of discernment is for. Many of us naturally gravitate toward using discernment to see what's evil or wrong about someone or something, and this is us operating out of fear (worst case scenario) instead of love (seeing the best in others; seeing God, who is love). This message is uncomfortable because it breaks down everything you thought you knew about discernment. Any gift God gives has a purpose of loving others, and unifying the body of Christ, and the same goes for discernment. For example (if you're still reading): a person who is just so hostile & mean, you sense a bad spirit on them and you "discern" staying away from them and keeping others away. Perhaps that's not God's plan. Perhaps instead, He wants you to discern the hurt & rejection they feel, extend compassion on them regardless of how it's received, and open a door to their heart they shut a long time ago. This message was so on point. I'm so ready to change!

This is the first I've ever heard of Danny Silk, but he seems like a very wise Christian man. He's preaching God's broad, inclusive, and healing love with a touch of humor. I don't find that irreverent. Some commenters here just seem to want to make sure that Danny doesn't forget to mention God's condemnation of those who disagree with their theology. There's much here said by Danny that goes directly to the heart of what authentic Christian discernment is.

This is a great, timely word . It stung to hear it. I needed to hear this. It's an example of Danny "discerning " what is going on and pulling back the veil and revealing the truth of what is going on. Thanks Danny!

This was wonderful. Thank you Danny Silk, for reminding us to follow the Spirit and not the common, familiar way of thinking that bring so much divisiveness in the body of Christ. . I only need to see the comments below with all the big words as if some people did not listen to the message with their hearts but just judged judged judged... what this is specifically not about!

When JESUS said " love thine enamies", it is meant as a true warrior respect - from 1 warriors respect for their opponent(s) and vice versa . This means not relishing in the spoils of a victorious win over your opponent(s) and bragging all over town like boxers do but realizing the battle that your opponent(s) put up to try to defeat you and how fierce it was and how hard they made it for you to defeat them in battle to begin with in the first place and not letting your ego carry you away into the world of bragging rights and self indulgence like boxers are so famous for doing . This is a most clear example of what Jesus was saying , when HE said this , to love your enamies because you may have to face them in battle at some point and may have to be fierce and gain their respect by making it as hard as you can for them to defeat you , if they are able to and in some cases even unto death but you will not be disgraced or loose the respect - LOVE and admiration of your opponent(s) and you will be talked about and remembered by many , forever . This means that you have earned the LOVE and respect of many people , if you are able to approach your enamies in this way . Coby Briant was and is a perfect example of this . He approached his opponents and battle feild every time with a love and respect for them and played with a fierceness that few could match and he was often time victorious and in the end , he passed away with the love and respect of everyone whom knew him personally and is loved by millions . This is what Jesus was talking about when HE said " LOVE THINE ENAMIES" . Opponents are the enamies until the battle is over and there after , how well you fought to to win , determines if you have gained the love and respect of your opponent(s) , whether you won or lost and then your character off the battle feild after this determines if have the love and respect of the fans . Boxers are not known for having love and respect for their opponents at any time and have egos as big all out doors . To find such high quality in a person , is really - very - very - very rare now a days . This is the message that JESUS is conveying to us to in this statement . Thank you for your attention and time . Much appreciated always . 😉👍😎

Wow. So few supposed Christians have ever actually read (with eyes open) the Bible. This guy has actually read the Bible. It's all about reconciliation of ALL THINGS. That's the Gospel. It's good news for the TOTALITY of REALITY. We are ambassadors of the Kingdom of ALL INCLUSIVE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. RECONCILIATION is the WORD. EVERYTHING in HEAVEN and EARTH has been RECONCILED. That's what the Bible says. Read the Bible. YHVH (The Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) is ALL in ALL. Read the Bible.

The spirit of pride has taken over the pulpit. If theres a hole in the pulpit then its a reflection to the whole congregation in the empty pew! Humble yourself in the sight of the lord and take off the mask of pride following your own deceitful heart of that ride and put on the armour of God. In order to hop off the seat of unbelief you must expire your identity of pride and be inspired by whats in Gods hand of humbleness of what you don't see which is measures of faith! "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resiteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." James 4:6 REPENT! FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND!

Does this mean the proclamation was wrong? Canonization of the Bible? We've been divided so many times in Christianity, non denomination, vers assembly, evangelical etc. People take on sexual identities and define themselves that way like the church has. Believe me I agree with Danny but I'm seeing division as early as the what we red today? Isn't Canonization division too? I'm confused

Jesus said that He only does what He sees the Father doing. That a mind stayed on Him will be in perfect peace. That a Fear of the Lord and not the Devil is the beginning of wisdom. You become what you behold. This video is ironic.

He tried to show how often people use discernment to judge other people. Where there is judgment, there is no room for love. God wants unity and unconditional love in His children.

september luketz it is not easy to forgive or get set free of something traumatic. I can't be around my dad either without falling into the same stuff, but you can have a moment where you step aside and then forgive. After Corrie Ten Boom got out the concentration camp and was giving her testimony, the same guard came up to her to shake her hand and ask for forgiveness, but she could not do it.

And honestly I don't understand these terms...I just know you were probably mistreated. And that Christ can bring healing and freedom in your life, like he has to bring healing and freedom into my life. Some of the stuff I have gone through, I can't even put into words...I have to go to the Lord and ask for His Spirit and His Word and His Body to shed light.

His 'spirit of honor' is based on easter mysticisme and is unbiblical. The spirit of descernment (dia crisis) always bring people at the cross of Christ it unmasks the old man (Gal.2:20). This is not judgmentalism but convincing of sin, a work done nu the Holy Spirit.
@TheJiminxx3 жыл бұрын
The old man does not ever have to be “unmasked,” instead the new creation is to be addressed as the old is completely gone and the new is here ref 2 Cor 5. We love through The Holy Spirit, we do not unmask the old man but instead honor the new man. Looking inwardly at all of Gods children rather than outwardly

@@rpiepho365 Your comments are not particularly grown up either. show me any of the videos by these people where they are not filmed in dark environments. Perhaps we are blessed here in the UK with great ancient places of worship where light floods in and the awesomeness of God is magnifed in our places of worship where Christ has been glorified for in some cases 1000 years. Yup we are spoiled but we still have 98% of the population who do not believe in Christ who dont go to church.

Your thinly veiled elitism makes me dry heave.
@ricdavid74764 жыл бұрын
@@petersoar2886 Why is that elitism to say that despite having the most magnificent buildings of worship in the world they are all empty and dying? I have just finished with a book called Englands 1000 best churches. I went to see many of them most of them over 400 years old and many considerably older some over 1000 years old. That was just the 1000 best and there must be thousands more that do not make that list. We are a tiny country yet we have that Christian heritage. I m supposing you may be an american and like most americans proud of your country. I am an Englishman and very proud of our Christian heritage and being the birthplace of the bible in English. Yet on the other hand am deeply saddened that this country is no longer a Christian country and all our churches are dying. That is not being elitist that is just a fact of the time we live in. If what i say is not factually correct and you are able to show me where i can find that information then I am happy to amend my comment. I am also happy to change my comment about Bethel and Rick Joyners church if you can point me in the right direction to videos that show them in not dark environments. It was not my intention to give any supporters of Bethel or Rick Joyners the hump and if you did actually dry heave then i apologize. Supporters of these organisations often do seem to be incredibly thin skinned though.
