Jesus can change your whole life, some things take time, start reading every day gospels of John, Luke, Mark and Matt and listen Charles Stanleys sermons, and just believe what Jesus says. You’ve never read it. Like most New Agers, you think it’s an outdated book written by sexist old men, but you’re wrong. It’s authored by God’s own Spirit (Who is a person, not a feeling) and is the best way to know Who God truly is. God is Truth, and Truth is a person, and that God-man’s Name is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth and life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). The New Age tells us we’re gods, but that’s a lie from pit of Hell. We’re NOT gods, and we need to get out of our own navels. Think about it: if the New Age is so good, why does it have a dark side? God is totally good and has no dark side. The Bible tells us that God is pure light and there’s no trace of darkness in Him (1 John 1:5). Post-sin, human beings aren’t good. In fact, we all deserve deserve Hell for our rebellion against God. We’ve all broken God’s moral Law of the 10 Commandments, which is ultimately a failure to love God properly. The only person who can meet God’s moral standard IS God, so Jesus Christ, Who is God in the flesh, came down from heaven and lived the perfect life of love that sinful humans who aren’t God never could. On the cross our sin was laid on Him, carried in His bleeding and nail-punctured body, and if we surrender our life to Him as our Lord, He will also become our Saviour and His sinless perfection will be attributed to us when we stand before the Father someday. Only God can die and rise again to conquer the powers of sin and darkness on our behalf. We’re utter moral and spiritual failures who don’t deserve this exchange at all, but God in His lovingkindness pours out His forgiving grace on all the undeserving who trust in Jesus’ name. Religions AREN’T all the same. Only Christianity is true. Only Christianity knows God is perfectly just (justice is not allowing evil to go unpunished) AND perfectly merciful (offering to trade His sin-free life for our sinful ones on the cross, if we call Him our God). This is because only Christianity is built on the worship of the person and work of Jesus Christ, the one true Trinitarian God. Three days after His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead, ate grilled fish with His disciples, greeted hundreds of eyewitnesses, ascended bodily into heaven, and is currently ruling, reigning, and interceding for His people on the throne at His Father’s right hand side. In the person of Jesus, God came down from heaven into human history, took on flesh, bled, suffered and died as a sacrifice for the sins of all who trust in His Name. Then Jesus rose again to reconcile a sinful people with Himself, so that we can know and love Him in this life and into eternity. Romans 10:9 says that anyone who believes with their heart and confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved. You should read the Bible properly using Bible study sites like Bible Ref and Got Questions. You can also pray while reading the Bible and ask the Lord Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Studying the Bible is how you’ll know know Jesus as He truly is, not the small Jesus You have in your mind who agrees with you about everything and never challenges you. You need to let God’s Word challenge you, convict you, and bring you to the foot of the cross. Jesus is such a good, kind, awesome God, and it’d be a shame if you squandered the brief life you have not knowing Him as He really is.
