The power of Lithium batteries, they are game changers. Remember this when you replace your main batteries. They won't charge below freezing but an insulated box outside with a heated lithium battery would be fine year round in your area. Also 1 200 amp hour LifePO4 will give you more power than the 3 Gel batteries that you have and will charge much faster and last a lot longer.

Very cool. Love the morning hair by the way! It will be interesting to see how often you need to run your generator now with this in your "tool bag" of solar solutions. That was quite a score to get the company to send you one of these to review. That's a nice pat on the back from the company to know they think so highly of your channel and videos that they want you to endorse their products. Well done, and congratulations.

Yes really good device, it makes all non critical devices run at about 800 watts so it takes longer but it functions. Thats such a clever trick to let them run at say 160 volts or 190 volts and not 230V to make them consume less power. . I'm totally happy with it. Cool review btw !

I am happy for your good fortune to be selected as a reviewer for this product! But ya know I have some reflections that I just need to say. I actually thought at first...WOW...I'll go right to Amazon and follow Jennas lead on this unit, buy one ya know. When I scoped out the $800 cost it was sobering. The thing about this and other such units is that there is just NOT ENOUGH storage, nor capacity built in to accumulate energy into storage rapidly. Where you are, compromised solar is the rule, too many clouds, too many obstructing trees. These units are fine for the recreational camper or the enthusiasts that like to play with techy stuff, all the neat little features built in, yeah they impress, but to me they are just fall short of serious power supply for residential needs like you have. These things are fine for a short term supply of cell phones, routers and computer power needs, but not otherwise a significant supply of electricity for other heavier demands. I know, everybody has an idea of what is good and what will do. I have to admit that I pretty much can't get away from measuring things up against grid power which is at the top. You could and should depend on solar where you are, but to do so you need a massive increase in lead acid batteries and a much larger array of solar panels located in a place where all solar possible can be collected. You have woodlands, I presume you are cutting your own firewood? If so I would think that you should expand your wood burning to heating water and cooking in lieu of depending on the fossil fuels and precious small amount of electricity you can generate. I'd also take a hard look at making that trailer able to support water delivery year around, do the work to insulate, if combined with a wood fired boiler to heat water then you could really live....have hot showers year round, wouldn't that be a neat thing. If you work at it you can even heat the trailer with hot water from the wood fired boiler. For me there needs to be less complicated life than what you have with all those devices and gadgets that are totally grid...all that tech stuff is grid dependent. Wood is there for the taking and once you get the boiler and fixtures to use it in place you are pretty much on auto pilot and will have long lasting energy provision with minimal fussing around all the live long time with this or that problem.

Game changer! That’s the phrase I used when I got my EcoFlow. During an extended power outage I would run my generator 10-12 hours a day mainly for my refrigerator. Off at night so as to not annoy the neighbors and hope that no food would spoil during that time. I got a Delta 1300 and it will run my fridge for 23 hours. Now I’m in the market for a River2Pro to run my new chest freezer. Using a Watt meter I calculate that it will run the freezer in excess of 30 hours.

Good for you, an upgrade! It's raining here, I'm getting 84 watts from 1400 watts of panels. It's been cloudy and rainy the last five days but no rain yesterday, so I had to mow a little bit. I've started building a greenhouse off the side of the barn. My uncle had some windows and a storm door. The tomatoes are almost 3 feet tall, and they have fruit on them. I took the wood stove out and have the window air conditioning unit in it's place. It's going to be around 50 degrees at night, we call it blackberry winter. I had left an old piece of watermelon hull by the side of the garden, and there's fifteen new plants coming up. I'm not sure if the 🍎 Apple 🌲 tree is going to bud or what. The 🌞 came out yesterday, and I put all the panels in the sunshine, for a few minutes it was making 1011 watts, so hopefully the controller will be able to handle them, max watts for it is 1040. You needed more power. I think I have enough. Could be that I'm tired of spending all my extra money for solar stuff. I like having it though. I'm not really a fan of foldable panels. I have some for charging my phone, but they're floppy floppy, and hard to get 🌞 sun on them. They need a frame to hold them but let cooling air underneath. My little wind generator is spinning after being almost silent for a week. It will help on this cloudy rainy day. I got a fair charge of 25.3 volts today. I'm glad to see you get more power. I get that minimalist thing, but I like a little more than that. I said, Well I never built an off grid solar system before, so I didn't know how many of things to get, but I figured too much is better than not enough. My oven is kind of an energy hog, lol. I just got enough to run it, and figured, I can always get a smaller oven. 😅 I've been able to run it more than I used to, ever since I got all twenty batteries working. The voltage will drop a little bit while it's on, but it usually comes back to where it was after awhile. I'm going to make some brownies while the wind generator is spinning. It's making another 150 watts. There's something wrong with the sun or the weather, so I figured the little greenhouse would be the best thing to do. I'll be getting more water barrels this weekend. I plan to put five barrels of water in the back of the greenhouse for the 🌞 sun to heat up. That will keep it warm, I hope. I have some peppermint and strawberries out there. I'll put other stuff in there later. I could charge your laptop a couple thousand times, lol. But my old laptop quit working, and I haven't replaced it. I bought a wind generator instead. It's slowing down on rain , and now the wind generator is making 300-400 watts. I've got a white cake in the oven, and some caramel delights ice cream for when it gets done. I'm going out while it's still raining and plant some lettuce. I have six different kinds of peppers growing. I hilled up the taters I have growing, and I'm going to plant a bunch more. I hear they're going to be scarce this fall. They are already getting expensive, so I'm going to grow a hundred pounds of them this year. Price of everything at the store is going up. I had not seen any Hormel chili on the shelves for a couple of months. They had some yesterday, and I bought 12 cans. I have a $5 coupon for tomorrow now, so I can get two cans free. I was wondering if you were okay. You haven't had a power outage in over a week...
@gypsyjenna
@gypsyjenna Жыл бұрын
I have never heard of Blackberry winter, cool. Wow sounds like you are prepared food wise for a good little bit! Yes, you're right. Prices are rising at a scary rate! You could always try a smaller RV propane oven? Or would that be too small for your needs? It wouldn't be a power hog at all, just run directly on propane.
@davidpotter9462
@davidpotter9462 Жыл бұрын
Oh, lol, blackberry winter is usually the last week of May. The blackberry vines are usually just starting to bloom, and it will get chilly for a few days and make you think winter is coming back. It only happens around here. This year it was just two weeks early. The seasons are out of time by about two weeks, I've noticed. Normally it Frost's about a week before Halloween. Last year it was about a week and a half early. It's like something is off a little bit. I had a propane oven before, but it scared me a couple of times. The igniter was sort of iffy, and it was more of an explosion when it lit the burner. So I said, I'm getting an electric oven. It's not like it used to be. I've got enough to run it now. Usually the wind is blowing so that helps a lot. It probably would have helped more if they would have sent the right voltage of wind generator. I guess it's better than nothing. There's so much going on here that I keep at least a year's worth of stuff to eat put back. I bought cake mixes when they were $1 or $1.25, took them out of the boxes, and put them in buckets with lids. Now that same mix is two for $3.50 when they're on sale. I've got over four buckets full of them. Some are brownie mixes. Then I bought raw cocoa for when those run out, to make my own. I'm buying cans of chili or chicken breast when I find it. I put some back last year but I didn't expect all the stuff going on now. There is higher price on everything but I'm still stocking up. It will be bad enough this year, but I am afraid of next year. I think prices will continue to go up. I go out a lot less than I used to, so I'm using little gas. I'm trying to get anything that I think I might need for the next year ahead of time. Every time I think I have enough of one thing, there's ten more that magically appear, that I have just a few of. I added a freezer and a washer machine last summer. I had the freezer set to -25 I think, and it ran a lot. Well it was 107 degrees. I found out it doesn't need to be that cold. There's a lot of stuff in it now. The weather changed so quickly. It was cold, then one day in between, then hot and humid ever since until today. I guess I will sleep now, later.

Even though I live in my camper full time, I do own a camp. I know…. ….. …. 🤔. My camper is already wired with a solar panel on the roof. Basic lead/ acid battery that supplies the DC power. I also installed a Chinese diesel heater just to give my LP furnace a break. Especially during the very very cold winter nights. Your review was perfect timing and I agree 110% with having this power source available. My camp location is very remote and after designing a solar powered system with everything including the LiFePO4 batteries, it’s actually a little cheaper to purchase one of these solar powered generators. The one I’m looking at is much larger then the one in your review, but still on the same principle. Everything in one box! The gas generator will always be there, but like I tell myself or my guests every single time I have to turn it on….. I’m about to generate some noise! Great vid as always. Be safe, have fun and I’m looking forward to your next one. Oh…. BTW……. saw your toes! Ha Ha!!!!

thanks for the detailed video. How long would you say you run your generator each day normally? The solar recharge of this unit sounds like it could save you in fuel prices over time based on what im seeing here in the video. I started looking at these units for our enclosed trailer that we converted for camping.

Sometimes I don't run the generator for days on end. At the moment I run it long enough to recharge the power station or to recharge the batteries when my panels aren't getting sun or are covered in snow lol

Thanks for the detailed review with practical uses:) One question several times the fan kicked in on the EcoFlow how noisy would you say it is? Like a hair dryer? And does it stay on for a while? I'm looking for one to use at night and I prefer no white noise if I can help it. Thanks!
@gypsyjenna
@gypsyjenna Жыл бұрын
Hi Monika, the fan isn't that loud and usually only kicks on when it has a heavier power load or when it's hot. It's definitely not as loud as a hair dryer and I haven't had it stay on overly long

For Experimental purposes only😅😂😆🍹hee hee🍓🍍🥥 We just bought a trailer last year and I now wish we had a power station set up instead of all the conventional hardware to power with it...it feels neanderthal when you see all the great items EcoFlo is coming out with...have you seen their version of a mini split style heatpump/ac? Wowzers!!! It would be perfect for our 17x7 trailer. 2 of my gal pal(sisters) have left AB to go back home to NF, so I just missed an epic road trip with them, but alas, I'm currently on Vancouver Island selling my house...but wishing I was on the Thelma & Louise(and Jane) Trip😂😂😂😂

Nice review. Wish I would have went with a ecoflow instead . I bought a bluetti a couple years ago, it works well enough but the display screen is in 20% increments for the power levels. Which makes for a guessing game on how much power is left in the bluetti , the ecoflow has a much more accurate display.

EF is at 94% She's getting 34 watts of solar. Says 22mins to full. 22min = 6% 3.66min = 1% 366.66min = 100% 366.66/60min (hour) 6.11 If it takes 22 mins to get 6% then (22/6) it takes 3.66min per %. 3.66min to get 1% 100% = 3.66x100. 366.66min is 6.12hrs So, based on the info shown, full recharge in 6.12 hours at 34watts. *Be quicker to go to a Cafe & have coffee while it charges for ~1/2 hour>
