I think White Owl & Born Again ate songs of salvation. The struggle to surrender sin and embrace the love of Jesus Christ. His metaphorical imagery is unparalleled along with his vocal range.

I told God that I would not listen to any music that was not Christian music. About 2 months later I was driving down the road listening to a local Christian station. I did not like any of it except the worship songs. I was complaining to God that I would like some music to just enjoy and most of the stuff on the radio, I didn't like. As I was complaining I felt God say "shut up". I was shocked and kind of upset but as I was about to get in my feelings, lol, I heard a song that had a Tom Petty vibe to it. It was exactly what I was looking for but would have missed it if I had kept talking. I only caught the end of it so I had to go online and listen to every song for the last hour to try to find it. It was Josh Garrels Beyond the Blue. I went online to buy it and he was giving the downloads away for free. I also found out that he was coming in concert a month or 2 later. He is never played on the radio but the church that he was having the concert at had been given a radio station right before all this. I saw him in Cumming Georgia at a church and in Birmingham Alabama at a bar. The more you listen to his music, the better it gets. I am sorry you couldn't play Resistance. It is different from most of his stuff. He does vocals on a rap song for Beautiful Eulogy called Anchor. Very powerful song. Thank you for playing these. I thought you forgot about me. Josh

So, not exactly my thing-- I mean it really depends on where I am and what I'm doing. If I'm feeling mellow, I'll reach for Classical / Romantic (Ravel, Chopin, Rodrigo, Debussy) or cool jazz ( Gurialdi, Parker, Brubeck) than indie folk. I said in the comments it reminds me a lot of the sort of indie-folk Jose Gonzalez does. There's also a project by Jessy Ribordy (Falling Up) Gloomcatcher, which I DO like and I think others might like too (link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opm4d2qcibdqgpo ) Anyway, interesting pieces. I enjoy the challenge.
