A very underrated program. I looked it up after remembering it from the 80s. Good to see it here.

I loved this, and think of it every time someone mentions the "to see ourselves as others see us" saying. Glorious. Thank you for preserving it.

Brilliant, I haven't seen this since it's original broadcast. It's just as good as I remember. So good to see it on here, it desrves more recognition.

I've heard this on the radio as a play a few times, but never the TV version. It was nice to see. Thanks.

As others have said, I never though I would ever see this again! Istill have a copy on VHS but nothing to play it on. This was one of my all time favourite plays. Thank you so much for sharing!

After listening to the radio drama I begged my parents to watch this with me when I realised it was the same play. We all found it hilarious, and I'm delighted to have found it again as well. :) Thanks for the upload.

Thank you for uploading cuddlywotsit. I watched this programme when it aired in 1987. I recorded on VHS and watched it repeatedly for a couple of years before losing it. Rediscovering it youtube 30 years later is a fantastic self-gifted Christmas present.

The Giftie - 1988 - TSW - Television South West 1311pm 14.7.22 and in keeping with mistaken identity... i would say it's a very very very very very tedious aside to the general run of tedium that one faces during one's daily grind. is there humour in such tediousness, though? probably... how much mileage did they get from this show? p.s i am glad they met up when they did, early on into proceedings, as, and you know me only too well, it would have been far too stressful on my old ticker or general lay about comfort for them to be allowed to drive themselves and the wife crazy... still; a decent idea and worthy of a decent sci-fi comedy/drama series... not having any conception of how ugly you are is probably something you all need to address.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so MUCH. I remember this from the late 80s. I Also echo Simon Hewins! I thought this was lost for good. I have thought about it off and on over the years, hoping to see it again. It is just as good as the first time. You are something else! Wonderful to see John Wells, Richard O'Sullivan and the girls do a really good job of surprising us at the end. I have run out of words. So entertaining!

What an utterly bizarre sitcom but strangely interesting to watch. The popping out of existence is a little freaky. Not going to lie.
