Hearing Kyle talk about his “fertility phase” versus “non- fertility phase” made me think a podcast on what men (and also one on women) can do to prepare for fertility and optimize chances of a healthy baby. In a general scope from health, supplementation, etc (not just from a hair loss protocol context)

Thank you for the information. Some questions: 1) Pros and Cons of different topical Dutasteride vehicles, concentrations, frequencies, and volume mL of doses? 2) Thoughts on adding a topical anti-androgen on top of a 5AR inhibitor such as clascoterone, pyrilutamide, RU58841? Any good patient responses with it? And how do they compare as mono therapies with a 5AR inhibitor monotherapy? 3) Which anti androgen would you recommend to male patients with severe androgenic alopecia? (Not a 5AR inhibitor) 4) Thoughts on LLLT? Seen any good patient responses with it? 5) How important are your neurosteroids? Are there back door pathways to synthesize them seperate to 5AR? 6) Can we simply apply the contents within an Avodart capsule directly on our scalps? Dosage? I don’t trust any compounding pharmacy to make topical Dutasteride with proper quality, measurements, etc. Thank you very much

May you please elaborate on the thought process and benefits of using both Finasteride and Dutasteride together daily, as opposed to Dutasteride on its own?

Question for James: what concentration of topical dutasteride were you on? What was the vehicle? And what was the frequency of application? Curious as to why you think it wasn’t effective

I used to have thick long hair that’s wavy but over the past 2 years it’s quickly become thin and wispy, not sure if it’s from stress or what but getting my doctor to order labs is like pulling teeth. I hope I can get back to what my hair was like before

I saw a video where you used finistride 5 days a week and Dutastride 2 days a week. Could you do this safely for ever?

If one has a high level of CAG repeats, does this mean dutasteride or finasteride will not be very effective in a hair protocol?

I had sides from even tiny dose twice a week frequency from finasteride orally, does switching to topical dutasteride makes it safe ??

Thanks for all the good info. I have had good luck with the Intelligent Ketoconazole shampoo, the only downside is, it makes my hair color fade quickly. I mentioned this to my dermatologist and she gave me a prescription for Ciclopirox, is the equivalent to Ketoconazole? It doesn’t fade my hair as quickly but not sure it works as well. What are you thoughts on laser caps? I’ve been using the I restore since Dec. , I’m trying to see if it will help me stretch out my prp results longer. (I’m over 60 female with genetic hair loss). Thanks!!

What did you mean by describimg the combination of Fin and Dut as a matrix/tetris?

I always get super dry eyes from dutasteride and finasteride which seems to be an effect of low androgenicity. However my T-Levels are normal. Am i not suitable for an anti-androgenic therapy or can i finetune anything? I have tried to manage sides with super minimal doses of letrozol and cabergoline but of course i dont want to take them forever

This in the Urology Times Journal: Real-world data for patients treated with 5 alpha-reductase inhibitors (5-ARIs) showed that sexual adverse events (AEs) occurred at higher rates in patients receiving finasteride compared with dutasteride, according to a study presented during the 2021 European Association of Urology Annual Congress.1 The risk of ejaculation disorders was 8 times higher with finasteride versus dutasteride, and the risk of erectile dysfunction and decreased libido was 5 times higher (P = .001). “Clinicians should considerer these data when prescribing 5-ARIs,” said presenting author Antonio Franco, MD, Sant'Andrea Hospital, Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Urology, Rome, Italy.

Can topical dutasteride used daily at 0.1% or 0.25% be safe for a fertility period? Also is this effective for stopping hair loss

Love the shows lads. My question… From some of the research I have done in regards to Finasteride and Fertility, taking 1mg per day while trying for a baby and when the mrs is pregnant, shows extremely low likelihood of adverse affects to the unborn child. Curious, what’s the main reason that you would stop for so long (6months) when in fertility phase? *I will be trying in the next couple of years so would like to build up my knowledge
@gilletthealth9 ай бұрын
Although the research suggests that Dutasteride has a minimal effect on sperm mobility, when considering having a child its best to make sure your eliminating any factors that could potentially cause adverse effects. The reason for the 6 month wash out period is because of Dutastrides long half life. Depending on dose and frequency will determine ones "wash out period". Thank you for the comment!

Great thanks. What about the “wash out period” for finasteride? ,

Any concerns about the sexual side effects of dutasteride like ED even after you stop taking it?
@yourbrain87009 ай бұрын
Do either of you use TRT specifically to mitigate the side effects from dutasteride? I found that oral dut gives me only sexual side effects (decreased libido), while fin gives me other side effects as well. I have high total T and free T on paper, but could imagine bumping it up more with TRT could eliminate the side effects from oral dut. This is a tempting road, but also a serious commitment, especially with uncertainty about a wish to have children in the future.
