Thank you both for your elective on this JayZ debacle. As Melissa said, the 90’s were an error where misogyny was at a high. We also live in a world where Black men are always wrong AND people don’t believe Black women. At the end of the day, to me, the best response to all of this is to support women who’ve been victimized and to hope it’s not true for those men. I support Black women and I also support being innocent until proven guilty

I think the defense in cases asks the plaintiff’s what evidence they have because they might be able to shut down a case at the start if the evidence doesn’t seem legit. For example if the accuser claims the incident happened in June 2010 but they can prove the accused was out of the country during that time then it weakens the accusers case.
