I was the parent of that child! Being the parent to that child is a horrid, depressing, miserable, unsatisfying experience ever! My son is super smart one of the smartest kids in his grade level. But has an IEP for behavior. Motherhood the worst hood I eva been to. He just stoped showing his behind this year in 6th grade. He stared second half of vol. And you name it I tried it as far as correcting it goes. So I’m grateful for you all’s empathy for that child’s mother.

One of my favorite podcast❤ I was raised that you wrote thank you cards for gifts you received. I raised my children that way,and they don't write a damn thank you card ever.🤣😂🤣 I raised my children, living with their father for about 11 years. Then we broke up and it was me racing the children he was involved, but the day today stuff was on me. There were times I would be so overwhelmed. I would say to myself crying, I don't have time or luxury for a nervous breakdown right now, but when I get some time I'm gonna do it. Because you were just constantly going and trying to figure stuff out. Cooking the dinner, and picking up the kids, and washing the clothes and breaking up the fight, and putting this one on punishment, AND going to work, and find somebody to do maintenance on your house and somebody to do maintenance on your car and just constantly constantly going and going and doing and doing That you put your emotions on the back burner... compartmentalizing. It will get you through for a while but really, you need to stop take some time and process those emotions and feelings.

This may be petty but... When I was a server, for a brief period, we all were on a group chat. 40 of us. You would think all 40 would be on 1 chat? Noooooooooooooooooo. It was about 20 different group chats because it was based on whoever the person wanted to switch shifts with AND anyone else off that day. So, some chats were 3ppl. We had one that was about 25 people. The 25 group chat is when I got fed up. (SN: I was about 30ish at the time. Most of the workers were college aged.) I sent a simple message. I will copy and paste the entire bible and put in the chat and silence my phone. I wasn't serious but it all stopped. It just turned into regular texting. No more GC.

Baby this is why teachers quit. This here. I suggest people read FERPA. If this is a public school, the law says the child has a right to public education. That's why the child could not be removed....they can protest all you want but if the child's IEP say the child can have inclusive education, then that's what has to be provided.
@shevy_shev936 ай бұрын
EXACTLY. From what it sounds they need to revise the IEP and he needs to be in a self-contained class. It’s scary scary and with all that’s going on with teachers and this social climate, I would leave too!
@dee_scussions6 ай бұрын
@shevy_shev93 I did. See how they harassed that teacher all night as ifbshe was able to kick the child out of class. The parent can request a reval of the IEP but parents don't want to believe their child needs an IEP. It's a vicious cycle.
