I simply adore Lou Rawls! He lives through his timeless singing style and his stage presence. I used to enjoy seeing him break into a little shuffle dance move while singing. So cool! His grace and classy demeanor remain apart of his legacy. Love you, Lou! Yvette M.

Covered by many, made famous by Astrud Gilberto, this Boss Nova classic is so timeless, Lou Rawls gives it that Jazzier edge as he raps his vocal chords on this to give it a different perspective

Regretfully I've never been to his concert ! I wish people realized how great & musical vocalist he was !!! My number 1 x'mas song is by him' Christmas is ' ,the coolest x'mas song ever ! He also could sing the most boring song beautifully like Ella could ! Truly best singers can do that ! I love him ! The very best singers were/ are Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughan & Lou Rawls ! You cannot beat them ! Then king of the voice was Nat King Cole !

Wow!!! Love this tune! Thanks for sharing it! #BossaNova #SmoothVocals

I remember listening to the test transmissions for Jazz FM Manchester in the early 1990s; this was one of the songs on the test tape. It's therefore one of the recordings that got me into jazz in the first place.

I never liked this song very much, but good ol' Lou delivers it so perfectly. It takes a special singer like Lou Rawls to be able to deliver Garfield the Cat songs to a glory above any other animated TV show songs. God bless this wonderful artist, and may he rest in peace with the Grooviest People ever: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Not to mention every person in Heaven.
