This is so scary and I’m not allowed to watch this kinda stuff but I think it’s good that I did because it really taught me more about being safe because now I know that no matter how nice a person may seem never, approach them and be sure to keep conversation as short as possible. People might seem totally normal and just need you to hold a paper for them but then seconds later you realize it was a trap and your in danger. I came here after seeing her story told by Ray William Johnson on tiktok and finding her on the same platform. Her story is incredible. My dad was shot in the face by a man he allowed to stay with him for a few days to help him out. That man also murdered his girlfriend in my dad’s house. He survived but has passed for other reasons two years later and the man who did it unalived himself which was a relief to our family as we didn’t want to see dad go through the court process. He was so traumatised by it all.

The real Kara is a very strong willed person, not easily understood. She has an iron grip on her emotions and see life in a very analytical and non emotional way. This made her a true survivor.

As a 13 yr old almost 14 who watched this, I have to say it was kinda scary knowing there’s more ppl like this and that this could happen to anyone. And she was kinda close to my age. Luckily it’s helped me learn what to do if I’m ever in that situation and honestly this movie is rlly inspirational and like ik to never tell someone my parents aren’t home, leave marks, lie, find out info, make it not obvious, . I mean hopefully this never happens to me, it seems like a rlly traumatic experience. But this movie has taught me and also like I’m actually shocked it’s a real story and like she’s so brave omgg. She’s the girl who escaped not the girl that was r@ped. Im actually also obsessed with how amazing the actors did but like these movies seem like they’d be tricky to film like emotionally

Amazing movie about an amazing girl (survivor). Tremendous acting jobs by all the actors in this movie, especially the performance by Katie Douglas portraying the victim and survivor, Kara Robinson. Eye opening movie about some of the sad realities of life. Highly recommend watching it.
