One of the best trailers I've ever seen and one of the best filmmakers working today.

Wow! This looks SSSOOO AMAZING!!! I can not WAIT for it to come out. I was lucky enough to be in their Photo "A great day in Harlem" (the one with all the women in it). Thanks Judy for all your hard work, & for making SUCH an amazing movie :)

GREAT FILM! I saw it in NY the night of the Women in Film & TV event ... It's right up there with Jean Bach's "A Great Day in Harlem! " I wish she could have seen it. Wonderful for young people to see from a different angle than a history of jazz film! I hope it gets to them.

What a great subject. Except for one friend of mine a few years back, I'd never even heard of all girl jazz bands, and I'm wondering why ? Thanks for doing this documentary and I hope to see it soon.

It was my idea to make this film. I did all the research and when I was pretty sure which musicians I wanted to focus on, I called Judy Chaikin, to see if she wanted to be part of the project. Unfortunately, she was so greedy and desperate to make a name for herself that she eventually stole the project away from me, after I made it known that I didn't care for the trailer she had made for me to take to my contacts to get funding. She was a family friend, if you can believe that. The worst part about the whole experience is that the film would have been so much better if I'd been at the helm. I'm sad that it failed in accomplishing my goal, which was to make a film so entertaining that it made a big splash and gave these ladies the recognition they deserve.

Forget about the 7 minute "demo". That's old news made 4 years ago when we first started this project. the Official Trailer is representative of what the film is now.
