From my understanding of recrystallizing sugar: it is theoretically possible if you add enough tepid water to dissolve the sugar off heat, and then, on heat, cover the container with a lid to allow reflux (constant evaporation and condensation in a closed system) to inhibit crystallization. I'm no master baker like Qt, but this is akin to recrystallization in chemistry

It's 100% possible to add water to re-dissolve the sugar and try again, I've done it many times, I have no clue why she's saying you cant.

@@alexvolute7454 its possible she moreso meant it was way more trouble than its worth, she worked in a bakery and taking the extra time to do all that instead of just restarting isnt worth it when sugar isnt THAT expensive especially in that small of a quantity she could also just not know that you can, and if she doesnt know how to do it i would not trust a bunch of people who dont even know what theyre doing to begin with to recycle their mess edit: after googling it some cause i only really know about making gummies it isnt that hard to do at all but it would take too long, assuming they were on stream they definitely dont wanna add the time it would take to boil off the water and then reheat the sugar back to 300 to get that crunch you want ( i could be dumb as fuck it looks like they were making those sugar fruit sticks )

@@odiousghoul It's certainly much faster to just add more water and bring it to a boil than to restart entirely. There really isnt a good reason i can think of to entirely restart instead.

If your sugar crystallizes you can just scrape down the sides, add some water, and try again using the wet method, and not mixing. Then again I’ve never worked in a bakery that made tanghulu-I’ve just made a shit ton of caramel-so maybe you cant use the wet method when making tanghulu, I have no clue…but now you know how to fix it if you’re trying to make caramel.

6:15 this point is fundamentally wrong. Some idiots believe that she shud fly commercial if she's so green, but have you seen her fanbase? They would book every flight in every airport in the country shes in, sit at the borders of that country, and do the same for the neighbours of said country. There would be a riot at the airport, and no way everyone comes out of that ok.

That's not the point. She is loaning it out to friends and family , who don't have the same notoriety as her and could easily take a commercial flight . She flies back and forth from one location to her boyfriend , or to her house too frequently. She doesn't make an effort to coordinate flights and tours so that she spends as little time in the air as possible . Sometimes she flies to a concert location , then flies home to sleep in her own bed , then flies to new concert location , and back again . The fact that she cannot sacrifice comfort and plan a better work schedule shows how little she cares. As mentioned , celebrities ( including , but not limited to TS ) have gotten used to flying a few minutes, to save an hour drive. Sure , time is money for them but so is for everyone and the fact that they can't sacrifice an hour for the sake of the burning planet , which is killing people , says loads about their priorities and how little they care for others. And how little all choices of regular people mater compared to choice of rich people.
