The Glitch Productions Drama Is Getting Worse: Doxxing And Harassment

Since my last video going over the glitch productions situation surrounding tari and glitch things have only gotten much much worse. If you've managed to miss it, basically glitch started getting called out due to their mishandling of firing one of their voice actors on smg4, tari. This obviously led to a lot of backlash and other alleged reviews being posted about the working conditions of glitch. Gooseworx actually ended up reposting some comments about the situation as well

Honestly? I don't really care about the drama surrounding glitch. It's not like I'm going to stop watching their work, and given their productions MASSIVE popularity, most people won't either. Used to be I might have gotten worked up over it, but... Imma keep it real with ya chief, given the amount of drama and controversy that pops up on a regular basis, I just... Do not have the time, energy, or patience to care anymore. Unless the controversy is about something SUPER bad like pedophilia, grooming, or like... Murder or something, I just don't care. Plus, every time there's a controversy: there's like a 50\50 chance that it was completely made up for attention, or blown WAY out of proportion. I'm so happy to hear that they're already working on getting better management & an HR department! I like Kevin's response to the issue, but I'm very disappointed that it took something as awful as doxxing him to get him to respond. Doxxing, of course, isn't okay, and nothing can excuse it, but I do wish Kevin had spoken up sooner. I'm very glad that other Glitch employees have been speaking up, telling people they love working there while also acknowledging the rough edges of the small company. I really hate to see folks calling them greedy for advertising merch, since merch sales & KZbin ad revenue are their only sources of income, and I don't think ad revenue is worth much money compared to merch sales. I really hope this situation doesn't get any worse, I love Glitch, and I have ever since it started up.

honestly I gotta agree with @lilyblade3289 , I've been a fan of SMG4 and Glitch since 2016 and I've always enjoyed their productions. If anything I hope all this drama gets sorted out and everyone generally begins to feel happier while working out the rough-edges and flaws. And as said before, Doxxing somebody is never ok. Its a cheap move and a pathetic way to force a response out of somebody and in some cases can even be harmful to the victim.

Considering I grew from SMG4 beginnings to Glitch Productions being formed. A lot of backend stuff that usually wouldn't be there is just there. That makes me come to my conclusion that any business, no matter how big or small is going to have its own Dilemma eventually. I appreciate the insight you gave us here. I was upset too when Tari's voice actor was fired in favor of someone else, but even I didn't take this route because I saw that Kevin was empathetic to the mistreated and miserable people because of the crappy management team and showed he does care about his animation team. Y'know what's funny? I saw a guy during the controversy who was absolutely SCREECHING the same thing, "I want people to boycott glitch!!! i want people to hate kevin and luke!!! I want people to hate the new voice actor!!!!" I told them that it's innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. I always had a feeling something was wrong when ep 4-5 came out so quickly. When I saw that employees were crunching HARD, I was more or less disappointed really, but i've heard stories about crunch alot in general. But people became VIOLENTLY upset, like so much to the point of boycotting the production team. I simply patiently waited, but when they kept pumping out ads for merch, I started to get slightly mad, as if they were trying to sweep the situation under the rug. But as I saw the replies, I was worried. People were asking for a response, which is fine, but others (i wont name who) were saying that Kev was an evil and money hungry person. During the doxing situation, I was unsurprised in a bad way. The amount of doxing and drama on mdtwt kinda nullified my shock to it. Ofc, it's not right. Doxing anyone for any reason makes you a horrible person. When the apology came out, I was relieved. He wasn't greedy, he was human, and he made mistakes. I honestly expected this to be the outcome tbh, and it was the best apology i've seen so far this year. The VA situation is also a mistake. The new VA was supposed to notify her because both Glitch and the new VA was aware she needed time for herself, but they didn't notify her because...they both forgot to.

I've been a fan of SMG4 since 2014 and I would have never imagined they would get in such a drama in 10 years. Nor did I think the funne Mario videos would turn into an actual company. Smg4 is probably the only youtuber I still watch from back in the day, every week. And that's special. It's a bit of a shame they did that to a voice actor, and tried to silence it first, then apologized when they found out it wouldn't work. His response was fine though. I believe it will get better. I wonder what Luke thinks about the situation. I always thought SMG4 episodes were at their best when Luke made them. Kevin is not a bad writer, but he has a more ''professional'' mindset, which changed the SMG4 videos. Luke always seemed more like a chill guy, and just added random stuff to a SMG4 video, which worked. Kevin seems pretty determined to make all this work, though, so I don't think it will turn into an awful studio. Also, doxxing isn't okay, Twitter people are always overreacting to stuff

I knew from the start that something about this whole controversy felt off. Not that I didn't believe that something had happened with Celeste, I completely believed her frustration and confusion and was honestly just as confused. What I couldn't believe was that they would do something like this intentionally, after over a decade of building up good relations with other creators and the community. I never had any interest in glitch, I found their series always to be meh, and ever since the whole "human meggy" introduction in smg4, I kinda stopped following both all together.
