It's a different situation. One is a proof of concept to first continuation, and this is meat of the show to climax. And consider that a good chunk if not the majority of people got into it after that time gap. you know what's wierd about Nuzi ship? according to evidence provided, most of the murder drones in the highschool are actually in their 20s, which is wierd. (check missing posters.) this means that N is probably even OLDER than we thought, but also it's like... Uzi's 20? N acts less mature than uzi by a long shot. and Uzi still acts like a gothic teen. personally, because A.I and robots are so iffy when it comes to age stuff, where a robot can be built as an adult but only be 3 years old and vice versa, that it should be based upon mental maturity levels instead. edit* and sending death threats over a character death is so absolutely childish. be mad, complain, but risking the future of the show, or WORSE someone's mental health is stupid.

Having *been* in high school Uzi and her classmates should basically be seniors. Like, prom was a normal thing for seniors sometimes. Concerning the age thing (or rather worker drone x dissassembly drone) it was stated a while back in a Reddit ama by liam that *after* the core explosion did uzi and her classmates come into play. Pill babies (like beau) exist, soon growing into full drone bodies. …N (and others like J and V) never went through this. Going by the manor events he was never a pill baby since those little guys were post core explosion. He was basically really young back then. Like a toddler basically skipping the baby phase. He was never 'programmed' to age like Uzi. Wonky as it is. The pairing works just fine age wise (especially taking other vampire traits into account).

My opinion on Nuzi is that they're both robots, do robots have organs, tissue, or organic material, no they don't. Do any worker or disassembly have sexual attraction, no, just romantic. During GLITCHx, Liam said that it's somewhat similar to the movie "Robots", in the movie, say if a robot couple wanted a kid, they could just order one. No sexual interaction needed (that sounds like a line I would see in a parody infomercial). With the characters being robots, you couldn't really have a character considered a creep or pedo.

I’m not going to lie; when I first watched the show I considered myself part of the community even though I never even interacted with anyone online. Heck, I only in the past few days made myself a google account so I could subscribe to people that I watch on here, but to here what has happened, what the people of this community have gone through… it’s saddening. I wish that all of this stuff had never happened because my love for this show is greater than I ever thought possible, and to here that all of this stuff happened without me knowing about it feels like I’ve almost dishonored this show that I love so deeply, that I have betrayed the people of this community for not going through the hardships with them. I'm into the whole V death thing, and I think it's pointless that people were sending death threats to Glitch and the team because it wasn't confirmed she was actually killed, since we don't see her actual body. It’s kind of sad to see. As a long time Murder Drones fan, and a heavy lore addict + theorist, I can’t say that the fanbase is my all time favorite. I once said that it was, because every interaction I had was very civil, friendly, and respectful. Every argument, every debate, every theory comparison and lore dump was a very positive experience for me. But that’s only because I don’t do Twitter. Twitter is a cesspool in every sense of the word. It’s a majorly violent and toxic place to be, so I just don’t hang around there. It smells of rot and decay as everyone is always offended by something. So, while these sorts of people are considered part of the fandom, I do not consider them to be fans. Because I am a fan. And I am disgusted by this kind of “behavior”. (I have many less pleasant things to say, but I like being polite when I can).

EXACTLY. I never use twitter if I don't have to, I hang out on other stuff. I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who were kind, drew AWESOME fanart, and were really invested in the story. Hell, even the people who disagreed with a ship would be civil about it. It was only when I went on youtube and saw vids like these that I realized that it wasn't the way I knew it at the time. I've realized this about a lot of fandoms actually. I was in the TADC fandom when it first came out, and even then I could tell that it was going to be disastrous from there on. But I still remained, and had the same revelation. I also remember stumbling across Hazbin Hotel fanart that was actually pretty dope, but then I had that revelation AGAIN. Pisses me off, man.

Thank you for addressing the death of this fandom. I was known as uziluci/uziisntluci back on twitter and Tiktok. I had 32k followers on tiktok because I was a known uzi cosplayer. I left the fandom because of how toxic it was. Plus uttp attacks gave me anxiety. I just hope the fandom gets better with the last 2 episodes.

The fandom isn’t dead. All fandoms have their ups and downs, and their toxic and good people. That doesn’t mean a fandom is dead. Just because the newer fans can’t be patient in this age of short form social media content, doesn’t mean the community is dying. They are all just being dramatic, and feeding into them with videos like these doesn’t help. Remember Glitch isn’t Disney, it’s still an indie studio. The amount of fans I’ve seen saying that if these last two episodes aren’t “top notch” due to the wait that they’ll be “angry’ is insane. It’s really entitled and threatening and that right there is the toxic part of the fandom. Rushing the show and wanting it to be “perfect” is going to make it not. The people doing that are part of the problem. And also, anything that isn’t cleared up in Season 1 will probably get cleared in a Season 2, but then again these toxic fans will be saying the fandom is “dead” during that wait too. Nower days needing patience= means dead fandom and is just annoying at this point. Stop trying to start unnecessary drama with stories that just want to be told. If being patient for more content or a well told story makes you not like a show anymore or get angry at the show runners then you aren’t a true fan, plain and simple. Between the Pilot and Episode 2 Heartbeat, there was a long pause, so newer fans may not understand that this is normal in indie animation. The fandom is still alive. And don’t go comparing TADC to Murder Drones’s fandom. I love TADC too, but most of the content and “fans” are content farmers looking to get extra views by children with Pomni or the other characters, and it won’t last forever, even Glitch addressed this when they saw how many views the pilot got. Murder Drones isn’t like that and I’m glad, or else the fandom would really die fast. I don’t comment on these types of videos often, but this sort of content mining is getting annoying. Just be a fan, don’t follow the crowd, like what you like and don’t start drama. You and the fandom will be fine (I also know it’s not that simple, a lot of these toxic fans are kids, and don’t know any better, so just ignore 😊 it’s the best thing to do to keep it alive even in long hiatus’s. The episodes probably are coming in a few weeks, just be patient.

As someone who got into Murder Drones and joined the fandom back in April of 2023 after the end of the Owl House of that same month. I can confirm this. Murder Drones was truly a show made with heart, effort, and talent and everyone involved with the show had fun making it.. But the fandom was too focused on the shipping part.. And that's very sad, despite this I'm grateful that I made friends because of Murder Drones. And I'll congratulate Glitch Productions for creating two shows that I got into in the same year Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus both being made by Creators Liam Vickers and Gooseworx both being well-done in the indie-space and having uniquely different art styles and sense of humor translating pretty well in those two shows. Like for example Liam Vickers's body horror imaginary, and Gooseworx's surrealism.

The Murder Drones fandom is experiencing what the TOH fandom experienced between seasons, but with extreme infighting and trolls. It's really sad to watch, especially when I'm indirectly being accused of things from both sides of the shipping war since I ship N with both V (in the flashbacks) and Uzi (in the present). The few people I know personally that have stayed in the fandom have only stayed because of the small pockets of more peaceful parts of the fandom.

I have been an MD fan since day 1, I'm sure the fandom will rise back up once ep7 and 8 are released Moving onto an honest opinion: The Amazing Digital Circus actually did overshadow MD quite a bit and as sad as I am about it, I just dealt with it because I knew we were getting new MD episodes later on anyway. My personal opinion on TADC is... Mixed. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. TADC has amazing animation and.. Fair storytelling, but I like shows based off aesthetics, writing, lore, characters, acting, and just general visuals. I'm a fan of both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. I waited four (yes, four) whole years for HH to air on Amazon Prime. HB on the other hand was a show I watched in my freetime and it was just something I genuinely enjoyed. I've been around since the beginning of all these big webshows and I must say, a lot has changed since the pilots were released. TADC is new, and it'll be something I get used to, but by the looks of it now.. I always thought it would be tainted by the younger iPad generation, but that's just me going straight to assumptions. Then again, it really depends on the future of these webshows. Hazbin Hotel is an official show on Prime Video now, while MD, HB, and of course TADC are on KZbin to watch freely. I personally love the MD fandom for what it is, minus all the shipping obviously. Shipping in a community is common but it's also bad. Gravity Falls for example, there have been people shipping Dipper and his sister I forgot her name lol but still. It goes to show that shippers really don't care what the character is, if they get even somewhat close then they go head-first. Personally I'm mostly a V x N shipper but I really don't care what happens. I don't ship characters very often if not at all unless it becomes canon. This uproar in the MD community is like a leech, but I'm glad things are toning down after a while. The MD community is merely dormant until the next episodes come out, that's how I see it. Anyways enough yapping for me lol

I just think it’s awesome that Liams works are becoming so popular I used to watch some of his oldest series from a channel known as SSTWL (Scary Story Times With Liam), and some aspects of MD were probably inspired from those discarded series. Speaking as a fanartist who's been around since before episode 2 and was later targeted by UTTP. This fandom was (and I do mean that in past tense) the most toxic fandom I've been in for shipping. I've never been accused of being a p*do before until this fandom and that's even disregarding what the UTTP sent my way. I will preface the shipping aspect of this comment by saying I never set out to be known as a shipper for this community, I saw how the fandom took Envy as its shipping darling back in the day and I wasn't thrilled by the Stockholm-y "I can fix her" presentation of it. Nuzi crept up on me as the better endgame alternative the more I thought about it. The hate for Nuzi was absolutely insane and I think that's because so many fans were either misinformed or didn't think more critically. The only s*x joke in the whole show is the BJ joke between Uzi and N in the pilot (a single s*x joke, Vivziepop could never). I don't think they'd include a joke like that if their ages were so vast. That and the "boyfriend" line aging well if Nuzi did go canon and Liam's season 1 teaser art having a Nuzi nod were all things I kept having to point at to defend myself. It was honestly at its worst in the lead up to episode 3, episode 3-4 chilling things down some as the ship became more present, and then finally episode 6 looking like it sunk Envy for it to be ok to ship Nuzi. Just insane behavior. The show's staff had long been liking fanart of the ship, it took the fandom ages to catch up. Toxic fans trying to dig up dirt on Liam was pretty funny though. The "proof" they found was art of an 18 year old character. But man, I hate how talk about this show is full of shipping. I love me some shipping but the N Bowl took the fandom by the horns. I think more people would talk about the lore if more people could understand it. I don't think it's hard to understand, but there's a lot of misconceptions I see going around. While I do think the writing has some issues, I usually understand why things seem out of place as the plot progresses, but I don't really think anything is much of an issue other than I would've liked more of a lead up to V's sacrifice. However, I don't personally see this as the fandom's dark age. I see this as a renaissance tbh. The amount of new faces in the fandom because of Digital Circus is actually very welcome after how many left over the ship wars (some of those toxic shippers fled to TADC anyway). These are new people who already know what the writing on the wall is regarding shipping, so if they're not interested they're not gonna watch the show anyway. Whoever's here is in for the long haul, and that's a kind of fan I really like. Like yes, I was upset seeing how much better Digital Circus was doing and how Glitch forgot about MD for a bit (even on its own anniversary), but I feel MD is better off with Digital Circus and its popularity. MD's popular but not to content farms level, but not so unpopular that the show risks early cancellation (not that it should be in question anyway as that would undermine Glitch's mission). Digital Circus is bringing in needed money for Glitch, whom are hiring like crazy now. MD got nominated for a Webby and GlitchX was mostly about MD. It's not doom and gloom. It has literally never been a better time to be a fan of MD.

I love this show, and honestly I'm a bit anxious about me not liking it anymore. That's how much I like it, I'm scared of not liking it anymore...but I never realized how much damage has been done to the fandom. I love this show so much because for a while in late 2022 to early 2023 it was the only comfort I had, at least...for a while. I liked the characters, designs, aesthetic, everything. I also loved the fandom! and I slowly noticed more and more how much toxicity started to happen. It really sucks how damaged the fandom is. But, I think I'm gonna stay in it for a while. Commenting on my thoughts: As a recent-ish fan, it kinda sucks to see what discourse is happening/happened. Just gonna bring up some big points here, for anyone reading. (I should note that i 1. Have little/no experience with running/managing a popular thing, 2. I don't have any romantic experiences/never dated (aro/ace) but i DO have experience in art/animations) 1. THEY ARE ROBOTS. It's confirmed by Liam/the creator of MD that they don't age like humans (during GlitchX i do believe). Or it's collage or something idfk. as for N, the timeline is still INCREDIBLY fuzzy, and we really REALLY don't know much, but it is possible for his "Age" or whatever to have been reset when he was sent to Copper-9. Again, big point, THEY ARE ROBOTS. THEY DON'T TECHNICALLY AGE. Mental/Physical age plays a huge part in the discussion, but i'm just tired of the fighting. 2. eNVy didn't stand a chance modern day. We know that they sorta had a thing at the mansion, but besides that, no way. V's actions have done more harm than good occasionally, and even if they suddenly had a chance? I personally think no one realizes that N and V were servants for humans on earth, they died as "kids" then made into Disassembly drones, with their memories wiped, we can assume that the doors were built right after the Disassembly drones arrived from the dialogue of ep5 thus when uzi was a baby so technically making N and Uzi around the same age. Also THEY ARE ROBOTS PEOPLE! The reason episode 7 and 8 are taking so long is because episode 6 was rewritten before released, idk what changed but it must have been big. So now they have to rewrite ep7 and ep8 to compensate. Digital Circus got attention because of the people who watch it, children especially. Thus giving it way more attention. On the bright side digital circus is taking all the bad attention away from murder drones (aka click bait assholes). I think the whole "put more of the team on digital circus" is complete bullshit, it seems that most of the animation in that show is more cartoon and simplistic, unlike Murder Drones high quality animations, plus murder drones has also racked up on views because of digital circus and some people like it more for its more horrifying nature, so the community is growing, just not as much as digital circus.

I'm a brazilian and i remember that i found the show randomly a month after episode 2 came out so i was in the fandom on the growing era, i don't regret being a part of this awesome fandom. I really hope someone says "Murder Drones fans, assemble!" On episode 7 live and thank you for making this video, it really explained why the majority of the fandom disappeared. (I'm sorry if i wrote anything wrong, i am still learning english)

While the Murder Drones fanbase has definitely taken a massive hit as a result of the points you made, I think that the Amazing Digital Circus actually did lots of good for Murder Drones. Let's look at some analytics. The first episode of TADC was released on October 13, 2023. On that day, the Murder Drones Pilot had 23,734,297 views. Since TADC provided a boost to the entire GLITCH channel, Murder Drones also recieved a substantial boost. As of writing this comment, the Murder Drones pilot now has 36,253,478 views, which is an increase of 34.6% in 3 months. This didn't just happen to the pilot, too. Although this could be contributed to the recency of their releases, the view counts of episodes 5 and 6 have since doubled in views over the past 3 months, with the remaining episodes gaining a further 6 million views each. Before TADC released, the Murder Drones episodes were gaining about 800,000 views per month, with exceptions for newly released episodes. Now, that number has spiked to 2,000,000 views per month. While I am concerned about Murder Drones as a fandom, I am not concerned about Murder Drones as a show. The numbers back it up. Really like MD when I first watched the pilot the week it came out, still really love it, bought merch and everything, but never interacted with the fandom, glad I didn’t, I also for a time thought that all the popularity that TADC got was because of the success of MD. But either way im sure the show itself will still succeed, just like meta runner did when MD became popular, as for the fandom im not as sure. But as long as the shows good and most people like it than thats all that matters

I do have hope that MD will rise like a phoenix when the next episode comes out I think Glitch will build the hype for it. What will be interesting to see is if Glitches new audience from TADC ends up watching MD when it comes out, and if they will stick around with TADC in the long run or will just be fair-weather fans of the current thing. Liam's section of Glitch X did have a lot more viewers than Gooses got which is something to note Though I think the second episode of TADC is planned to come out soon so we will soon see I guess

it's sad really, Murder Drones is a great show, even though it has it's very prominent and glaring issues. but the community has practically eaten itself alive from the inside. TADC came in and took Glitch by storm, and the decision to delay the finale for so long is kinda like the final nail in the coffin. obviously i'm not Glitch or Liam, but i feel like the chances of there being a second season to Murder Drones is very unlikely. i followed the show since the beginning and it's sad to see something i really like slowly dwindle and wither away

I disagree. I think it’s delayed because they want to put their all into it/because of other projects. That doesn’t mean the show is over - I’m not too sure how true it is (someone random commented it) but I heard that some of the episodes have been rewritten. Either because there will only be a season 1, or a set-up for a season 2.

My friends and I LOVE murder drones and honestly I’ve heard of the shipping between characters, but my impression was that the core drones were all teenagers. We don’t always talk about it, in fact we are more so into it whenever an episode or announcement or meme from the crew appear, and they we don’t really talk about it. It’s mostly because we focus on other things, but Episodes from stuff we love to watch or updates on game we play, or some other third thing gets us right back into it, or attention at least. We probably even look like the “dying” part of the fandom or sorts if you wanna even bunch us in that category, but the show is very much still on radar, even if like 2-3 months pass of not even talking about it or so to speak.

I mean I was dissapointed on V's death but I have theory that she somehow survived, it's sounds absurd but murder drones is a show that will show dead bodies and V's body was never shown. I actually joined the murder drones fandom just after tadc pilot aired. But I also prefer the angsty emo energy over anxious clowns who can't remember who they used to be any day. I love murder drones and I know the whole "proship" angle is forced because it happened to Hunter and Willow from the owl house. Both N and Uzi are between the ages of 19-21. Under 3 years apart. For something to be problematic it would have to be an age gap of over 5 years. I don't even think N spent long as a pillbaby before receiving his WD model, being put to work, and being killed and discarded by tessas folks maybe a week/month later so Tessa can fix him. Also the lack of timeline has me thinking the events of Copper-9 happens before that of Earth. As in Cyn wasn't the first Solver host dispite what Tessa believes. It seems like she believes Cyn is controlling everything, when it's the absolute fabric pulling the strings on it's little puppet. Maybe tadc had to take the toxic "fans" before people who really enjoy it can actually enjoy it. Idk about others, but I relate so much with N and Uzi, both loners and outcasts. Seen as cringy because of the emo lifestyle, they find eachother and learn self-worth dispite the chaos that surrounds them. It was an easy target by trolls and such, because this emo personality is a target irl. It's a show for people who don't fit in, and just wanna be cared about for who they are. Sorry, did not mean for this to get so long. Lol.

2:00 on the missing posters it says the age of the missing students on them, and later in that ep its revealed that doll is killing all the prom queen contestants off so she can lure V into a trap, its safe to assume that all of the students in Uzi's year are above 18 seeing as the age of the missing students are older then 18.

if this fandom is truly dying. I’m going down with it. Murder drones has comforted me during some of the worst moments I felt in 2023. It has a spot in my heart that will never ever be replaced. Currently from what it looks like the fandom isn’t in a good shape. When TADC came out the murder drones fandom suddenly vanished. it’s part of the cause of the disappearance. Let’s all just hope once episode 7 comes out the fandom will come back stronger then ever.

I don't think I can stress the insurmountable expectations being placed on episode 7 and 8. People are gonna be expecting everything out of these next two episodes after the insanely long wait, so if heaven forbid they under-deliver or end the series on a sour and depressing note, the fandom will be dead permanently. And if episode 7 especially turns out to be underwhelming, the hype for episode 8 will be basically gone. They better not mess this up.

I’m saying that a depressing ending, or one that leaves questions unanswered will leave a really bad taste in the mouths of the people who already had to wait so long for said finale, so it’ll most likely just alienate more people. But in the end, “bad” really just means unsatisfying, regardless of whether or not the ending is happy or sad, or leaves stuff for a second season. If the ending is unsatisfying, it will be made 10x worse by the long wait
