I am baffled by the fact that so many people still seem to think that Will said he would film the moon during the dates December, 14th - 18th. Not only that, but some are now adding the assumption that Will claimed he would try to procure video of a "full moon"! "Sigh", I'm not sure how much more clear the man could be, than he is in this video (and he was clear in the first video for that matter). I have to wonder if people even watched the entire video before commenting. Thanks for the attempt to clarify Will. 🤷‍♂🤦‍♂Good luck!

The whole point of TFE is to, as a group witness and film a 24 hour sun, adding the moon to the mix that will be filmed at some other time while they are not all there only serves to give flerfs the ability to distract and deflect. Many of us know how flerfs act . They find the tiniest most insignificant thing to nullify evidence. You have to be extremely detailed and specific with them.

I'm not a dummy, but I also understood from Will's words in his previous video that there would be a 24hr moon *at the time he was visiting there* . I was surprised, when it occurred to me to look up the stats on the moon for that time and place, to learn that it would *not* be visible. And if I misunderstood this, I cannot blame anyone else for misunderstanding this also -- let alone flat earthers, who are a bit fuzzy on the whole understanding-things-business to start with. EDIT: I've watched the previous video again, and this one. And even with hindsight, I cannot blame anyone for thinking Will expects there to be a 24hr moon during TFE. If you skip to around 3:00, for instance, he mentions the 24hr moon *in the context of* TFE. But why do that if you don't expect there to be a 24hr moon to confirm or refute during TFE? The language is confusing. No offense to @Will, I think this is a fun trip for everyone going, and everyone watching, and it's taught me many things I never bothered thinking about before.

He's a churchy guy, and is used to filling the clock with words but not getting to the point. In the first vid it took him 11 minutes to get to mentioning the moon, and then, among other things, he said: "I am incredibly excited to announce that the final experiment is not only going to attempt to film a 24-hour sun in Antarctica but I'm personally going to attempt to procure a video of a 24 hour moon. This is not going to be easy but the stakes have been raised not only does the globe require a 24-hour sun in Antarctica but it also requires a 24 hour moon and ..." He's right that there will be a 24-hour moon in December in Antarctica, but only when it's in a fractional phase, which it won't be when he's there. A little research would have shown this. Meanwhile, there should be a 24-hour full moon in the Arctic night right now.

The confusion comes from you not clarifying that you were talking about a 24 hour moon as a separate thing, and not during the same time as your visit to observe the 24 hour sun. While you didn't explicitly state you were going to get the video at the same time, you didn't exactly make it clear you weren't, so people assumed the simplest explanation. When someone says, 'I'm going to get some cereal from the grocer. Oh, and I'm going to get milk.' You don't assume that they're going to make two separate journeys to get the two items. If they know the grocer will be out of milk until tomorrow, they will tell you that, rather than assume you already knew. All that being said, I can't wit to see a 24 hour moon video when you can get it.

He made no mention of NOT filming a 24 hour moon while they are there and the hype that he stirred up about "something everybody forgot" led me to think that he was keen on delivering a double blow to the flat earthers. Meanwhile these scriptures never say the earth is flat explicitly, instead the scriptures are quite vague, and can be interpreted either way. You need to understand that if you want to actually find out the shape of the earth you first need to start with a model that fits reality in every way in order to know whether or not you are correct. Give me one example where the globe model doesn’t work, and I want a detailed explanation of why it fails with sound logic. If you just say things like we see too far, or gravity isn’t real, or where is the curvature?, or why don’t I feel it spinning?, water needs a container, gas can’t sit next to a vacuum etc.. I need you to explain these concepts to show how any of those claims are true. They sound good at the surface level but when you look deeper into each of these flat earth proofs, you learn that they are all based on simply misunderstanding how these things work. You can’t just say something makes no sense and not explain why it is false. Picking and choosing what aspects of science you think are bs and which ones you believe will never get you to the truth. According to Stellarium, the moon in it's orbit will not cross the celestial equator going south until 23rd of December, 5 days after the trip has finished. However, I don't think your base is anywhere near 90 degrees south. Bearing this in mind, observations may be tricky but not impossible.

To disclose upfront I do lean towards a flat earth understanding but regardless of that I do not believe you will see a 24 hour moon in Antarctica. I dont say this because of the shape of the earth but simply because the moon does not stay on the same north-south course as the sun. I did check some programs, like Stellarium, and the Moon is rising and setting in the north this time of the month. Later in the month it will be rising and setting by where the sun is in the south. So because of where the moon's course is on our horizon right now, you will most likely not even see the moon at all with as far north as it is rising and setting. Have a safe trip. Blessings!

Based on my position in the Southern Hemisphere, noting the relative position of sunrise, and to where the moon is rising currently, sadly, I predict that the moon, which will be a full moon, will not be visible during this particular trip to the Antarctic. Reason: the sun has begun rising and setting more southwards as it closes into the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, and the moon is currently rising and setting more northwards in its monthly orbit around the earth. In conclusion, while it is admirable to try and capture a 24 hour moon whilst in Antarctica, based on where it currently rises and sets in my location in the Southern Hemisphere, will not be possible in Antarctica this year.

Will, sorry but as others pointed out, you won’t be able to see it. Not only that but it’s been my experience that even if you know where to look, you won’t even be able to see the moon during the day when it’s less than 1/3 full. When it’s above the horizon at Union Glacier, it will be too close to the sun to get any videos with commercial grade cameras so even recording a 24 hour moon needs very specific times.

I think that the most problematic combination for flat earth is exactly what you will find during your trip: 5 days of sun always in the sky and 5 days of moon never in the sky. Okay, I get it now, and yes, this is even better than the 24 hour sun. None of this nonsense talk about artificial suns, albedo effect, coffee cup caustic. (Though if NASA can make an artificial sun, they sure as hell can make an artificial moon!) I suggest some time around May the 9th 2025, or a month later in June. There'll be 24-hour night at Union Glacier (assuming I put the correct coordinates into Stellarium), and the moon will be clearly above the horizon 24 hours a day for several days.

No. 24h sun means that you see the sun in the sky for at least 24 hours. At the poles it remains up for 6 months. At Union Glacier it remains up approximately from half october to half february.
