Sally's look is probably the most controversial thing on this channel, which I suppose is a good thing, pretty low bar for controversy. It started out as a joke directed at Sega for their complete disregard for the Freedom Fighters, but turned into something a lot of people seemed to like. And while some people understandably don't like the change, I'm glad so many people feel seen by this interpretation of this character. I guess my logic towards this Sally is that it's not about promoting unhealthy lifestyles or anything like that, but about dealing with change when life throws a curveball at you and learning to love yourself despite that. I just hope that message comes across. Sorry for the wall of text, just clearing it up since people still seem confused by it, which I totally get.

I low-key kind of miss the Freedom Fighters. It's sad that after Archie they basically got sealed in the Sega vault and they don't get to appear in anything anymore. While I wouldn't really want them to be in the game since the games follow the Japanese lore and most of the purposes of the characters have already been taken by those in the games. They should be allowed to be another multi media stuff like comics. Either way I'm glad the fanbase still cares about these characters and they're using other stuff by them.

It happens a lot. People who love you and care for you can and will still quietly support you, even if you put on a lot of weight. But you alone know what it's like to weigh over a hundred pounds (or eight stone, or fifty kilos) heavier than you did over thirty years ago. Your breathing, your reduced energy, the aches and pains you get from carrying yourself around. Not to mention how you look, which is easy to ignore but everyone else can see. It's hard to think about what you're eating, but it isn't impossible if you set a goal for yourself, even to just maintain your current size, you could ask your friends what they think. They've gone through this too, I'll imagine.

It's a bit disheartening to see the passage of time effect childhood heroes. Even weirder that I had been wanting Sega to have the nerve to make it happen. But I know that it's good for them to not have one aspect where they are limitless. Because then little moments like this gain actual meaning , they can't be wished away.

I like characters that age. I was growing up when Ben 10 came out, and if they gave him the Ash Ketchum treatment, Ben probably wouldn't be one of the greatest hero characters to exist. Same with other shows like Young Justice, The Last Airbender, and even The Wonderful World of Gumball. Shows that make their characters tay kids just stagnate in my point of view. I'd love to see an older more battle wisened Sally.

@@tsunertoo9149 , while I did go on about aging. The Problem with Sonic is how much it mirrors Dragonball with what held it back. Like the limitless growth of Sonic/Goku. Even the inflated power of dragon balls became a problem for writing stories. Anything limitless , or without well structured rules of fairness , can be problematic. I just found out from Trope Talk that limitless communication can be a pain. Like the final boss in Sonic Generations.

I think that Sonic compounds it however because according to the current writer Ian Flynn, they are trying to keep Super Sonic as being the ultimate form. However that leads to issues where no one really knows what the true power of super sonic is so things don't really feel like they are athreat whe you get all the emeralds. There are also a lot of arbitrary rules too, like Sonic is so powerful but no one else can be, so it causes a weight imbalance. Even Dragon ball solved this by giving much of its cast different forms.

@@tsunertoo9149 , I didn't know about them giving forms to other DBZ characters. After I saw Goku regrowing his tail I lost interest , growing hair is different from bone. It got too weird for me. But I actually have been writing some Sonic things to myself to pass time. And I've been wondering , is there a place where fan writers can go? I often wonder if fan game makers even want a writer to give them notes. How do people even find writers?

@@self-absorbed5269 @self - absorbed Ah you're coming from the GT era of DBZ then. I can get that, I fell off after that too. THey kind of fix that in DBS though. Instead of regrowing their tails, they introduce the concept that they didn't need their tails to start with. I'm sorry for letting you know about the other forms because trust me they are very worth your while to learn about. They have some stuff about them that are REALLY COOL. As for games, oh they definitely want story writers, but I can say from experience you want to make sure your vision meshes with who you are writing for, or even if it doesn't,that they are willing to compromise in some places. I just find videos of fan games and then send messages, though personally I've always wanted towrite for Rivals of Aether personally.

You know im going through the same thing too. Ive eaten alot more than usual so i think ive gained weight because my depression. People say im a very skinny person but im starting to think not.
