The Glory of the English Garden - In Memory of renowned horticulturalist Peter Thoday

I count my blessings everytime I'm in the Walled Garden, it's a hidden oasis bursting with life.
This video is dedicated to the memory of renowned horticulturalist Peter Thoday, famed for the TV Series The Victorian Kitchen Garden/The Victorian Flower Garden who shaped my world with his infectious enthisiasm for traditional gardening, knowledge and inspired me to become the horticulturalist I am today, his legacy lives on in many people and for that he will always be remembered.

Stunning videography! Beautiful musical accompanyment! Just have to share: Last evening I saw two Evening Primroses open, and then, later, upon returning, I saw a Hummingbird moth --- in the dark, I actually thought it was a Hummingbird! Nature is enthralling, and I am so grateful! I hope this memory stays with me forever!

Justin, do you cut the parterre? I only ask as I remember it being a back breaking, seemingly never ending task to ensure it was straight. The small Euonymus in the front garden was especially back breaking with it being lower to the ground! Eight hours one Saturday trying to get it finished for Open Gardens! Had to take three days off to recover! 😂💙
