The pages of the old tome called to me. Ever deeper into the ageless ink. Slowly i felt the world tilting until i was parallel with the ceiling. Slower still the world kept tilting until i was before a tower. Woe is my mind to behold such behemoths of twisted stone, darkened wood and anguished bone. Lament for my eyes to drink in the planes of shattered rock bathed in the light cast from a yellow crown. Harrowed are my veins that now pump the ichor i once called my blood. Gone is my sanity for no sane man can obey the drone beating in the deep, each note a language of its own. To the soil my hands now dig. From the soil my hands now draw forth a tome. Through my hands i cut free the ink. From the ink, i draw another into these pages.
