8:41 Seems kinda silly that the Thunderborn's weakness is water tbh, especially since one of their abilities *encourages* them to be out in storms. I can see water being a problem w/ electricity, but the fact that this Origin is associated w/ storms (especially w/ their Thor & Zeus skins), makes it feel like they should acc be *stronger* in storms & water/ rain.

@@sukaisage That still doesn't make sense lol. Water is a conduct. If anything, lightning is attracted to water. It makes no sense for a being made of electricity to be harmed by water, it should be the other way around. Whoever made the mod should've done something like, if a Thunderborn is in water then there is a small sphere around them that damages any mob/player in it because they are literally lightning in water. Personally I think they should've just thought of another weakness for the Thunderborn, maybe they can't mine properly because the earth is a natural neutralizer. It doesn't have anything to do with them being gods as flavor text, it literally just doesn't make sense for lightning/electricity to be damaged by water when in real life it works the opposite

It would make sense for salt water as it has a lot of ions that would disperse the electrical charge of lightning, the reason people get electrocuted in water is when they are the thing with the highest concentration of charge while salt water has a lot of charge itself so you are less likely to get electrocuted in a large body of water

Well, to be fair, the goal for this SMP isn't so much to survive long-term with an Origin, but to just have fun with an Origin then move on to the next. Joel did what he wanted to do with the Thunderborn and was ready to move on, and setting up a death like this worked well both for Joel to move on and for helping develop the story arc Lizzie is setting up. :)

@@magepalace1521 The best way for Shubble to shine as a superhero is to have a well-developed super-villain to go up against -- and bits like this really help Lizzie's character to become just that ^_^ I'm sure it will all work out well in the end tho -- remember, a lot of this is scripted to some degree to make it entertaining for us viewers and fun for the players. So (aside from things like random Creeper visits or genuine whoopsies) no one dies in these collab scenes unless it's their choice. And I'm not so sure Joel really "missed" placing that waterbucket... only he can say for sure, but I would guess that Joel prolly wanted a more unique Origin, as Sausage already has the Thunderborn and seems to have a story in mind for it. Either way, it's still gonna be fun! :)
