The song's lyrics were written by Giuseppe Rinaldi. It was recorded by Gian Campione on the 2009 Calura album.

I wonder, how much life did Michael really share with Apollonia during their brief marriage? He barely spoke any Sicilian, and her English was rudimentary. They were powerfully infatuated with each other, but they could barely communicate. Her death was a terrible tragedy, but Michael never really knew her, and the loss he suffers is more about himself than it is about her.

Non sicilian people can't pronounce double "d" same like sicilian dialect : It's a little bit unusual. There's some exception. For example hungarian people whose have in their dialect a similar sound. Unfortunately even sicilian people in some case can't pronounce this correctly. With time some people lost the use of dialect.
