How can you say that drugs don't destroy lives!? I agree the Gov. does, but so do drugs!!
@jonathanchildress98655 жыл бұрын
Berkley B you stop prohibiting substances that are individual choices and rights, you don’t have a drug epidemic anymore. You stigmatize drug users and lie about the the effects of drugs to have the masses believe that drugs are completely bad with no benefits, and convince them that they need a government to control their life’s and others. Without the cia, fbi, dea, etc. cracking down on plants and chemicals, all people would be responsible for their own actions that do not effect anyone but themselves. Almost all crime and violence is drug related and would be ended if we ended prohibition. We’ve seen this multiple times throughout history. Your friend would be MORE successful than you if the government would leave him and everyone else alone.

I think that a lot of drug dealers consider it a family business, and the reality of the fact is people who use drugs like heroin and cocaine are for the most part already using those drugs. I really don't think it makes those people evil, and it doesn't necessarily make them responsible for the users' addiction. Most people who buy heroin from street dealers didn't get addicted by those same street dealers, 99% of the time.

@@berk7888 The justification to my statement? Maybe re-word that cause I don't need to justify my statement to you or anybody else. I'm just saying that I think certain black families look at selling drugs as a family enterprise in a way that white families, by and large, would often look at and be ashamed of. Their "family business" might include selling upholstery or bait and tackle at a fishing shop, black people oftentimes have selling drugs as their family business. I think it's a front, a passion and a way to release guilt of selling drugs to his own neighborhood, leading to homes being torn apart or never the same. Bc he could have helped more people by not giving drugs. He only wanted a specific group in the community to do well. And it's hard for anyone to do well surrounded in a drug epidemic. I remember the 70s when D.C. was known as Chocolate City...those were the days! HS Basketball was big and we had many great players like Adrian Dantley and Austin Carr. There were two avenues for hoops the CYO and the Interhigh. Then the drug culture took over during the 80s and 90s. I just don`t remember when AAU the became bigger than the CYO and Interhigh in the DMV or this dude Malone?

every single time any law enforcement officer commits a heinous crime, we're asked to weigh that against all of the positive things they've ever done. when a civilian commits a heinous crime, it somehow makes it worse if they were great people in every other aspect of their life. i'm not saying that what he did was ok in any way...............

Everyone making excuses for him because he helped some kids out, how many lives did he destroy with the drugs he pumped into the community? Families destroyed? The neglected kids parents were probably using the drugs he was selling. Everyone supporting him In the comments is the exact reason the community is so dysfunctional, you choose to Glorify drug dealers like this instead of real leaders.

Its sad conflicting truth that the good got some bad in it and the bad got some good. But the problem is that the bad affected his legacy and tarnished the good that he did. It wasn't going to last because of the foundation that it was built upon.

I see a bunch of excuses being made for this guy or scapegoats and agencies being called out to deflect his part in destroying individuals in his community instead of actually helping to put a stop to their usage. You're moving the weight so why not flip that into some government funded facility to help those individuals detox and stop selling?

So our tax dollars pay for athletic programs that benefit from drug trafficking? All sports of all ages should be privatized. I'm tired of paying for drug dealers, rapists, abusers and dead beat fathers because they can playba sport. Tax dollars should be spent on job and life training.

When your under surveillance, volunteers in the community also help law enforcement 24/7. They also wiretap everyone he was associated with. Have people walk around your house 24/7. Gps is used and all cellphones and phones are tracked and surveillance vans and city vehicles watch. Now they have voice to skull technology. ( look up voice to skull technology)
