Colorado State graduate and NBA hopeful Wendell Lee Jr. was standing with his girlfriend outside her Los Angeles home when a car pulled up. A man got out of the vehicle, shot Lee multiple times, and drove away. The woman was unharmed and no words were exchanged with the shooter.
Two years later, Wendell’s death remains a mystery, as his family struggles to understand his murder. We speak with Lee’s family and others tied to the case to try and make sense of this seemingly senseless bloodshed.

SEE ... THAT IS THE REASON THEY DO THESE SHOWS! You think they care? NO! Shows like this make people with WEAK & SMALL minds CONDEMN their ENTIRE RACE due to one ''crack baby''! IF WE CAME BACK & INVESTED IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES INSTEAD OF THEIRS ... THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING! ITS HAPPENING BECAUSE THEY DON'T INVEST IN THEIR OWN and that is EXACTLY what THEY want! SMDH You let the make ROCK STARS out of the PARASITES that was selling DEATH in your community and you wonder why the kids are DOING what they are talking about in the music?! Why do you THINK they only give RECORD DEALS to the LOWEST members of the community and make you WORSHIP THEM ... its almost like WORSHIPING EVIL ......... SELLING YOUR SOULS ... THINK BLACK PEOPLE! THINK!

This is sad, a young life gone too soon and stolen. My brother was a first round NFL draft pick in 2006, and he was getting prepared for the draft and has signed a contract with one of the most and best NFL agents , tragically he was murdered and over 10,000 people came to his funeral and celebrities, however there were so much speculations for years as to what happened, some said former agents, some said drug dealers, which my brother never smoked never been arrested never did drugs, college graduate from the University of Miami a great kid. Its been now 12 years, But come to find out the person responsible was his own teammate, YES his own TEAMMATE, who happen to be at our house, talked with my brother everyday, practice with him everyday, ate lunch with everyday, same football meetings everyday , was at every party with my brother, is in every picture, and even came to the funeral. My brother said he couldn't wait to leave Miami because of the violence and was excited to leave within two days, instead he was murdered within that same week. Someone knew he was leaving to train and get prepared for the league. But did not want him to be successful. Come to find out, the teammate was sleeping with his girlfriend, and my brother had no idea and this jealous weak minded teammate decided to kill him, and his girl was aware as to what the teammate was going to do to my brother. Put nothing pass NO FEMALE .To the Wendell Lee family, I'm not saying this is the case with Wendell and I am deeply sorry this happen to a prominent great young man who was destined to be GREAT and and successful. I bet you the killer was at the funeral and I bet you its someone close within his circle, its some jealousy dude hater ass person who did not wan't Wendell to go further then them. I'm not saying his best friend has something to do with it, but don't let his ass off the hook nor the girl . They can cry weep, human beings can be real deceitful, let no one off the hook. Everyone is hurt in this video. But leave NO stone unturned. Keep the pressure on the media, keep it alive. Don't solely depend on the cops, they can careless because he was an African American. Hire a private investigator but flyers up, use social media. Contact big media news station, local news station, GO above and beyond for Wendell, I know its tiring, but ask God to give you the strength to push on. Don't let his legacy die, refuse too. I feel so bad for this to happen and I know, some insecure person is responsible and is reading every comment on here. Don't back down and keep your headed up. The creator will expose this person and justice will always prevail... Our Condolences!!

My brother was shot in the head, left for dead in a fire. He recovered ( thank God) Once the police realized they had no real evidence , or trail , they started pressuring him to say it was attempted suicide Because it absolves them from responsibility of solving it. The sad truth is, If you don't come from money, if you don't have a significant social standing or platform, if the police don't stand to profit organizationally from the publicity......They don't give a shit , and essentially drop the investigation , and sinking their budget into it. #RIP Wendall , I feel awful for his family + friends

okay full transparency you know that isn't true; it's a public service. Sure, the organization can be corrupt but guy to guy, man to man there's people that do care. One case doesn't make or break shit and there's tons of examples of cops being role models and actually helping people. This isn't about cops though; this is about a growing pillar in the community being gunned down in an act of senselessness. There just wasn't that much evidence to begin with if we're being honest here

@@tylerturner1668 I'm not saying one life was more valuable than the other. I'm simply saying for Benji Wilson it wasn't a matter of if he was going to be an NBA superstar, it was a matter of when. That happened in the early '80s. A lot of people viewing this video may not understand the context. It'd be like if LeBron James was gunned down his senior year of high school. That's how good Benji Wilson was.

First off I want to say this documentary is really well done. The downside is that there is probably a deeper layer of truth that is unaccessible and will remain a mystery. In environments of high suspicion, communities dont cooperate, they hide in the shadows, which breeds conspiracies. These conspiracies can grow and take on a life of its own, which furthers the legacy of violence and disconnection from integration.

I last visited South Central LA in 2008, in December. Exactly 10 years ago. I stayed on 84th and Denker, parallel to Manchester Boulevard. There were children double dutching on the street. People were driving by, beeping and waving with smiles and positive energy. This has me in tears right now. Jealousy is a low frequency behavior. How Cain killed his twin Abel has modernized itself. The mother is right. The nature of events seem orchestrated. People continually take out people who contribute to life and make excuses for it. That's enough to make life a living hell. Jah nah bless dat! 🙏🙏🙏💧💧💧💧

Disheartening ... another young Brother lost forever. My heart truly goes out to his Beautiful Family; this young man had dreams of living life to the fullest and now he's gone forever. Young Black Men, please be careful and watch who you associate with. Everyone doesn't have our best interest in mind, so we must be VIGILANT at all times. This young Brotha was robbed of life, and now he'll never have the opportunity to have a Family of his own, and .... continue to be such a Blessing to others. We must continue to Praise Jesus because the Good Lord Allowed his Family and Community the opportunity to have a "True Angel" with us for such a short period of time. My Deepest Condolences and I will keep this Beautiful Family in my Prayers.

Interesting how he told his friend that he felt like his life was in danger when he was going home to visit his family. That tells me he got into something that he knew was going to come back on him. Perhaps borrowed money from Gangsters that he never payed back. It's got to be something that he was into, that his family and friends never knew about. And I guarantee you that the Sheriff's Department Gang Investigators know exactly who killed him and why. But they can't make an arrest because no one will go on record. But trust me, the people in the streets tell the police everything that's happening up to the point where they have to put it on record. Then it's always, "I didn't see or hear anything." I would hate to think one of these people that seem to speak so well of him is “the” killer. Yet they know better. I hope not not that it actually matters if he knew them or not at this point; someone snatched a life that wasn’t theirs to take. However, it’s clear it was a target. The documentary shared his story well. I’m glad I learned of Wendell this day💪🏾

Man this is a sad story but one I can relate to. I was the victim of a shooting by gang members in South Central L.A. around 5 years ago and I have never been in a gang in my life. It was senseless and I moved to Atlanta shortly after. Watching the video of the shooting in this story which shows clearly the weapon used just tells me the person shooting was out to kill someone. Was it a gang initiation or some hanger on trying to score points in the gang I don’t know but it reminded me so much of my own shooting it gave me chills. I can understand the family trying to piece together what happened, but I feel it was kind of wrong to single out the people they did because they are grieving too and I just don’t get the vibe they had anything to do with this and it seems like another senseless random shooting.
