After Fredo told to Michael that he never met Ola before, Fredo later carelessly tells Geary that he had been to a nightclub with Ola. Vito Corleone is the original Godfather. Michael Corleone is his youngest son. Santino Corleone was his oldest son who was killed by the Barzini family in the first movie. Fredo Corleone is the middle brother who Michael has killed in the end. Connie Corleone is Vito's youngest child and only daughter. And Carmella Corleone is Vito's wife. The two men who were Vito's partners and friends were Clemenza and Tessio. Tessio betrayed Michael after Vito died in the first film.

You need to watch the movie again a couple more times. Pay attention to all of the details. A lot of your questions are answered in the movie if you pay close attention. This film is a comparison of Vito and Michael. Vito starts with nothing and when he dies he has a business and a family. Michael starts with everything and loses it all. Vito always treats people with respect whereas Michael does not. Part 3 is not as good as the first two but it is still worth a look. It removes all the romance and fantasy from the family story and exposes the corrupt truth.

Fun fact : the little baby being baptized as Connie and Carlo’s son is actually a little girl, none other than Sofia Coppola, daughter of the director, Francis Ford Coppola. She went on to portray Michael and Kay’s daughter in Godfather III, and went on to be a very talented and respected director in her own right with a string of hits, The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, Lost In Translation, Somewhere, and The Beguiled. Also, Talia Shire, who played Connie, is Francis Ford Coppola's sister. After Michael confronted Fredo with Fredo’s betrayal, he told Al Neri that he didn’t want Fredo killed until his mother’s death. Once his mom died and Michael hugged Fredo, he gave Neri a nod that it was now time to execute Fredo. The scene at the end where you saw Fredo and said he had “lived to tell the tale,” was a flashback to his father’s birthday party. I mean, there were several characters in that scene who were already dead by the end of the first movie! Perhaps it had been too long since the first one, and that impacted your attention and engagement with the second one. 😢😮

Like the scene where they murder that hooker just to set up the congressman. In the book.. the family pulls extremely dark moves like that all the time. The first movie as well.. like Luca brazi. The movie shows him as a hard man.. but in tje book he literally throws his own baby into a furnace. Its like the movies portrayed the entire family with more honor and integrity.. where as the books portray them the way real mobsters are.. lying, murdering, thieves. Unbelievable, Rocky's "Yo Adrian" as spoiled sister Connie Corleone here in this movie.

Damn, somebody edited out some of the best parts! Extremely hard to follow, unless we saw the movie already❤

fredo dead, floating in the lake..Michael said you can't do anything to Fredo until Michael's mom died after that we're just waiting around to see how he goes. Michael knew that Fredo betrayed him ironically the same way that Michael was taught in the first movie to know betrayer. food by the way the dancing scene is a good giveaway as to why Michael knew cheers you all

Fredo actually didn't live, that last scene was a flashback to when both of Michael's brothers were still alive. Just a quick cut back to show that, from the beginning, Michael was a loner, and somehow different. It's pretty unspeakably bleak how that difference played out in his life, though.

I was maybe 10 when my parents were watching this on TV. When Robert DeNiro/Vito Corleone gutted that guy like a fish in his chair I was so startled. I remember it clearly to this day. The acting in this movie is incredible.

Guys, would you please consider not blurring parts of the films you review? The eye naturally tries to bring a blurred image into focus, and the effect of constantly bringing the clips you use in and out of focus is really hard on the eyes of some of us watching. Personally, I've had to stop watching other reaction channels I really liked because they do the blur/unblur thing. Would you consider using another technique to stay on the right side of copyright? Not a demand, just a sincere request. Thanks for considering it.

Mike knew it was Fredo because Fredo at first said he never met Johnny Ola, and then when they were in Cuba on New years, Fredo let it slip out that Johnny Ola took him to the place. So at that point, you see Mike look away. Because he knew....

The dudes at the club are the ones who called Fredo on the phone when they tried to get Michael. Fredo said he didn’t know them. But he didn’t know Michael was standing right behind him when he was talkin about the dude he said he didn’t know.

When fredo arrived in Cuba 🇨🇺 Micheal asked fredo do you know Johnny ola , or Hyman Roth he said no never met them , then later on when they went to the club in Cuba fredo was drunk the senator asked fredo where did you find this place fredo was drunk and said Johnny ola and Hyman Roth told me about this place son he did know them and lied to Micheal that he didn’t

Michael knew it was Fredo because he said he didn't know Johnny Ola, but then let it slip that Jonny Ola was the one who showed him all of the party places in Havana. And Frdeo was killed at the very end. Its meant to show how a man who wanted nothing to do with his dads dirty business, now had a life filled with fear and hate.

Robert De Niro character of Vito showed where his predessor threatened the community with extortion so De Niro took him out and became the Don that the community respected but still feared

Michael knew it was Fredo because Fredo denied knowing Roth or Johnny Ola. But in Cuba, in the club, Fredo said he found out about the club because Johnny took him there. That's how truly stupid Fredo was. In the first Godfather movie, Fredo was his dad's personal assistant and bodyguard. When his dad was being shot, Fredo dropped his gun. Fredo was completely useless and no one would ever take him seriously. That makes is anger at Michael more pathetic in my opinion. There was no way he could ever lead the family. Michael was an outsider. He got pulled in because he was the only one who could get close enough to Sollozzo and the police captain to kill them. He did that to save his dad. When Sonny was killed, Michael had to step in to the family business because there was no one left. Vito wasn't going to put Fredo in control, so it had to be Michael.

Fredo says he doesn't know Johnny Ola (Sopranos Uncle Junior) who is part of Hyman Roth's crew... then later on Fredo screws up and says that Johnny O took him all over... Michael realizes that Fredo lied about Johnny O and he was betrayed...

The little boy that came to America was Vito, he grew up to be the Godfather in the first movie, played by Marlon Brando. Michael is his son
