The BEST part of the entire game was taking over territory from other mobs. Essentially turf wars from GTA but a little more refined in my opinion.

This game was badass. It’s badass because its sticks to the story and you do all the little missions that you dont see on screen. (Spoiler Alert) Like beating up the guys who beat up the morticians daughter, you put the horses head in wolfs bed. You plant the gun in the restaurant where Michael shoots sollozo. You have a shootout with tataligas after they kill Luca. Your the guy who wacks Bruno tatalliga. You help drive godfather to the hospital after he was shot. You help protect The Godfather at the hospital. You take Michael to docks after he wacks sollozo. You kill Paulie. I know he really dies on screen but it’s cool that they give you roccos part and u get to kill paulie instead. And of course you get to help Rocco Clemenza Al and willy cicci take out all the Bosses at the end which is epic as fuck. You can rob banks. Rob trucks. Save money get better guns (street sweeper) (greaser gun). Carry out hit contracts. Which is fun on its own. Extort businesses. Shake down rackets. Take over different families compounds. Pay off cops and police chiefs. Rise in ranks and eventually become Godfather yourself. This game is just WOW! I love it and wish they would remake it for X1 and P4.

one of the greatest games ever made 😊 absolute classic. one of easiest ways to take over a business on the godfather is to damage the business by shooting the cash register or shooting the front window and smashing up stuff inside the business that way the business owner will comply with you and he might even give you more money 🙂

For many years I managed to convince my parents to buy me a gta game, as all my friends were playing it at the time. They wasn’t sure what one I wanted and accidentally picked this one up for me. I was so annoyed that they picked up this game as I didn’t know to much about the godfather, I finally played it after weeks of being stubborn and I was so hooked, I turned into this mafia enthusiast. Watch all god father movies, mafia related docs /movies and binge watched sopranos over and over. I also completed this game so many times.

The biggest mistakes Electronic Arts did for this game: 1. *Only one story mode:* We play as a custom mobster named "Aldo Trapani" who sides with the Corleone family, but the game would have a little more complexity if it would give us the option to choose from five other alternate plots by siding with either the Tattaglia family, the Barzini family, the Cuneo family, the Stracci family, or just simply go lone-wolf to organize the Trapani family, recruit soldiers and become the new don of NY. 2. *No multiplayer:* What is an awesome action-shooter without cooperative mode, death-match mode, campaign mode, survival mode, and even online mode? 3. *4-wheel drive only:* We ride cars, but we can't ride boats (nor swim), bikes, scooters, jets, planes, canoes, kayaks or even horses in this game. (I know they didn't do any of that in the films, but they need to put some realism in this game.)

If only GTA was more like this game! I mean... Taking businesses, creating a network of crime, robbing a bank everytime you want! Collecting larges amount of money so you can get better guns! Even GTA V I find it restrictive in the things you can do.
