I love these videos. What breaks my heart is the Catholic church. My in-laws are Catholic, and their church is full of idols. I've never been in a Catholic church until I married my husband. We didn't get married in that church, but his other siblings did, and I was shocked by the status in a supposedly Christian church. Until I married my husband, I didn't know anything about the Catholic church. The more I find out, the more I think they're not really Christians.

Ouch, Hallelujah! As a friend used to say when a message was convicting. My experience with churches has not been very good After getting badly hurt in the church of my childhood, I left and went elsewhere. Several years later, my parents invited me to come because out new preacher "talks like you" (about the Holy Spirit). Ok, so, I tried again. This time I got accused of having an affair with the preacher. (His wife was the one who told me of the rumor, and she didn't believe it.). I went back to the church I had ended up at after the first attack and was there until I could not stomach the casual attitude toward sexual sin. The next church was good for a while, until some of us started meeting together on our own for Bible Study and the pastors. The pastors stalked the house aka, drove by to see which of the flock were at this unauthorized Bible Study. I can't recall all the things that happened. I left and it was several years before I returned. It was good for a while ...and then it was not. Among other things, they had different rules and standards for me than for others. I didn't plan to leave that one. There were just 3 Sundays when I was out of state or out of town and went to a different church. I didn't miss it and apparently no one missed me either. I went back to the church of my childhood for a while until someone YELLED at me after getting her shy sister to lead the singing. Seriously? It is a tiny church and about a fourth of the people were her family members. My threshold for being abused had diminished and though this was the least painful thing, I didn't return and didn't hear from them either. I had not been quick to quit, but this was my 3rd round at this church and I wasn't sticking around and trying to persevere again. Since leaving the double standard church, I have only gone to Sunday morning services for the most part. Since 2015, I have gone to 4 different churches. I loved the COVID Shutdown, because it was an excuse not to go. I used to be ALL IN and heavily involved, but thanks to how the church has treated me, I want to do nothing. As a single woman in a rural area, churches are filled with married couples with kids, and grandkids. It has been emotionally hard to attend, plus the meanness. In 2019 I got involved with a movement and that is where my focus and energy are. I know it has taken over God's place in my life and heart. I have only had to deal with 2 mean people since getting involved. It has had its trials,but being single isn't an issue. The church has been hard on singles. We aren't after someone else's husband.

I understand your frustrations with churches in a small town, even large metropolitan areas deal with bad circumstances. We live in a fallen world, the churches have changed dramatically & not for the good. Today's church doesn't preach the gospel, they are all about money, building, having a pool & gymnasium, parties, being in the world, being accepted by all, no Biblical standards, sin is not spoken about, only one service a week, traditional hymns are gone & they compete with mainstream & then there's the money again. I do my studying by reading the Word & listening to sound preaching on line. I listen to Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Pastor Jack Hibbs, Amir Tsarfati, Jan Markell, J.D. Farag, Jimmy Evans. I'm a single & I hear you. I too have attended many different churches & denominations. The Lord has brought me around to the understanding that the Adversary was using my being easily pricked (wounded then offended) to drive me from place to place and at times from where the Lord was trying to plant me. I came realize that sometimes we are there to serve others, not merely for our own edification. I have now been with a messianic congregation for most of 23 years, a record for me! Through the highs & lows, leadership change-over, etc. I stay because that is where He made a place & planted me until such time as He calls me out. Hope this helps shed light on your own pilgrimage.

These are in fact the end times. My Mother stated before she passed November 30, 2021 that she knew her physical life was over. If you are worrying about something in your life being an idol, don't. Since God made the world and everything in it, doing anything other than thinking, praying, and worshipping God is not evil. However, doing anything in such a way that is against the will or intent of God is sin. Obedience to God's word will always prevent the worship of idols because doing God's will is a form of worship and it is not possible to worship both God and idols for you cannot serve two masters. Knowing (and doing) God's will is what will save your soul.

@@denisoninvestments Very true about the idol of money...Money, in itself is not bad, but rather the "love" of money. It is so intense for all kinds of places of worship and especially the catholics and Pentecostals. And, then there are those in the pews/chairs so conditioned to believe that giving their money ensures a place in heaven...capitalizing on the OT law of tithing. I have extended family who embrace these ideologies...but at the same time don't rightly divide the Bible or understand its doctrines but rely on their own interpretations or 'what they heard'. I still pray for my family and friends caught up in this type of thinking. 🙏

that is not true- Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:20 "No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons." and the Jerusalem assembly of the apostles said to Paul what gentiles should abstain as new believers, Acts 15: 19 It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.
