The flail was probably rarely historical used, and there are no records of any real significant battles of knights or other soldiers using flails. Some say it didn't even really exist in a battlefield setting. So, unfortunately, we will probably never see it in Chivalry 2.

I would love to have a more historical two handed flail, which is probably not what many want to see, but it would be cool. I feel the flail, no matter what it is implemented as design wise, should have a mechanic where it does a small but noticeable amount of damage through a block, like the head has swung around their guard

Goedendag is Dutch for : Good day (to you). It's like a greeting. You pronounce it with the g being gutteral (like the Scottisch do with Loch ness). So the ch of loch ness is the same pronunciation for the g in Dutch. Practice that ch from loch ness and you have what the Dutch call the soft G. Now imagine you want to swear at someone and then pronounce the ch and you get a hard G, which is a common consonant in Dutch. as for the OE. that's just OO. so its angry scotsmen in the beginning and end. @@Swagmar Germans say Gutentag, but I'm pretty sure the naming of the weapon is the Dutch or Flemish variant(who do use the softer g btw),because its such an obvious Dutch word and connotation. Its the equivalent of Obi-wan saying 'Hello there'. Germans don't do that,they never fuck around to the best of my knowledge. Although they did name a cannon Berta. Anyway,dope video!
