I'm 75 and have been buying gold since 2013. Before then, I was a private investor in stocks, usually via mutual funds and later via ETFs. I made good money with those and when 2008 hit, I realized that making money was good but protecting one's buying power was critical. That was when, in early 2010, I started my stacking journey via buying silver. In 2019, I considered my silver stack complete, so now only buy a little from time to time. But most of my "spending" is on gold these days. I was surprised by the rapid rise in gold prices! My 1st gold purchase was five 1-oz. Canadian Maples that I bought for the princely sum of just under $6,000. That was less than $1200 per oz. Also bought at $1250, $1350, $1450, $1700, $1820-$1850, and $2,000 but at that point was waiting for a pullback... that never came. My last two gold buys were on Sept. and Oct. of 2023, when gold was in the $1820- $1850 range. I'd buy again if it pulled back into the $2200+ area or may just hedge a little by buying some fractional oz. coins. I like the additional flexibility of fractional oz. coins and have a couple of dozen 1/4 oz. coins and half a dozen 1/2 oz. coins. I don't have any 1/10th oz. gold coins and have no plans to buy any. 1/4 oz. is as small I will go on that.

I live in Canada and I can tell you that after paying all three levels of taxes, people are only walking away with about .43 cents on the dollar when they get paid. Try living on that, its impossible unless you have reserve assets. All this is because we have a gov. that follows the WEF agenda and simply put is to take away the people's wealth, rights, freedoms and quality of life so in the end there are only two classes of people, the upper class and the working poor, no middle class. And that is another good reason to own gold and silver and other hard assets.

What do you know about the world's oilfield? WE have e plenty here in the USA. The oldest oil field in America... aka... The Permiam Basin in Texas is doing great with horizontal drilling and tracking. The Bakken field in North Dakota is huge. Another formation called the Three Forks lies under that and we haven't even touched it yet. We have abundance in oil reserves... politics is what screws a lot of it up.

Bought a significant amount when it was at 2300. I was going to just sell it for that small profit, but it's just a huge headache to have to watch for gold prices so closely everyday. That time invested in monitoring gold prices is itself very valuable. So I guess I'll just keep what I have and play the long game. By the way thanks for these videos.

I'd never try to play the short game with volatile assets like PMs. There are too many very smart people on Wall Street who do this for a living, have massive computer resources, and lots of info that we the public never see. In mid 2025 I can't see a 75 to 1 ratio holding up(gold to silver) even with silver consumption dropping. The easy silver has been mined, in quantity and silver mines are generating far less than in the past. When there is a default on the LBMA not delivering physical silver watch for the silver price to skyrocket. That's my take. I wish you well.

Agreed. Added to this are the facts that: 1) the quality of known silver ore bodies is declining, so miners have to move a lot higher tonnage of useless rock to produce the same amount of silver; 2) very little exploration for new ore bodies is being done due to the relatively low price of silver, so future silver production will be reduced due to fewer new mines coming onstream; and 3) silver consumption has exceeded silver production by increasing amounts for the past 5-6 years. At some point, and fairly soon to my way of thinking, this silver deficit will force prices higher because silver recycling and current production simply cannot keep up with the rising demand.

Regarding that Canadian viewer question - the US treasury 'supposedly' has the most gold reserves in the world. Canada sold its gold reserves in 2016, and holds zero on its balance sheets. If you have a single gram, you own more gold than the Canadian central bank.

I agree, but it is not in our human nature to blame ourselves for our self-inflicted problems. No, we almost always seek to place the blame on others... ANY group will do, rather than ourselves, and then demand government action to provide relief. US Gov spending is approaching a time when it simply cannot be sustained at current levels. Creating more currency to redistribute only cheapens the value of the currency already in circulation, effectively making this situation even worse. Our politicians, which rare exceptions, don't understand the basics of economics or what causes inflation. Our Fed must surely know these things but acts as if they do not. 😕

I completely agree with the overall outlook. I can easily see Silver at $75 before the crash however. But we will see how powerful this 3 month run up is. Gold can easily hit 3k in this runup. If silver gets a bid, it can really move quickly so $75 really isnt that crazy.

So, how was that 42% level derived? I don't see a pullback of that magnitude happening unless something completely unforeseen occurs... such as governments and central banks halting their gold buying frenzy.

But before that event happens, I am also hoping that silver prices will go up to a point where I can sell some to buy more gold when the price bottoms out at a later point in time, so far so good.

@@edb3877 When the bubble bursts worldwide, stocks along with everything else in this world will go down in value including metals, I base my figure on experts in the field and on past historical events, the figure in itself is a ball park figure, but when planning out future events one has to speculate on where things are going and what the eventual effects could be, that way you develop a plan of action for future events. But I go a little further than that, like I figure Gold and Silver right now are going on a tare upwards for the next month or so, so I will sell my silver when it hits its top before the crash. After the crash, when metals bottom out, I will take the cash that I have from the sale of Silver to buy more gold and restock my silver reserves and sit back and watch the boom when the recovery starts, thats my plan. At some point the experts say that Silver shortages will be the norm of the day, this means prices should go up faster because of lack of supply and nothing that anyone says to me will change my way of thinking at this point in time, end of story.

From a strictly numerical view, based on the market cap divided by price of both silver and gold, silver amounts to less than 10x the amount of gold! By that metric in a vacuum, silver should be *significantly* more expensive.

I am doing all you are explaining, so glad I did, gained 16 % net on the gold I needed to sell from last year to avoid the increase here on Tax for over seas metals, I think Britain is in a worse state than Canada, it is abysmal here for most, I have taken steps to prep since the plandemic so am as prepared as I can be for what is coming, and by the heavens it is coming, that in my opinion man is a mathematical certainty? I keep just enough currency to pay the bills in hand and not a penny more in the Banking system, times is running out as you say. Thanks for your work and sharing. Peace brother.

As long as currencies such as the dollar and euro are not backed by gold, we will continue to be subject to indlation... the only way to protect your capital is to invest in stable real assets, such as gold and silver... Cryptocurrencies are tempting and they also make a safe impression, but they are still not widespread enough in the population and what do you do in the event of a blackout...??? That being said, if a Bitcoin is worth $500,000 but the dollar is no longer worth anything, you've gained nothing...🤷🏻‍♂️

I personally think we could see the dollar fall much sooner than anyone might expect, which makes me wonder....In addition to the heavy manipulation of metals, are you factoring in the recent expiration of the Petro-dollar agreement (back in June), combined with the BRICs nations that have been re-patriating gold & buying silver at record levels in the last few years (Russia 700%+, China, India and others), and their upcoming October 2024 meeting is possibly set to announce its new decentralized finance system (MBRIDGE, etc) with well over 100 nations now on board, and if you are factoring in these events, then....is there not a scenario where you could see a more rapid decline of the dollar and a much steeper spike in precious metals? (Some metals experts believe this could very well happen given these events) -- from a fellow bald guy.....Clayton (Austin, TX)

I expect bad crash ahead within next 3 months. I can live with holding on as long as everything comes up roses within 4 years. I don't think selling now with very modest profits to avoid crash and entering after crash is feasible as one could miss the upturn if it starts very quickly.

This is 100% the correct approach. Holding a decent % of physical assets as part of the strategy means you aren’t going to miss any upside appreciation. And it makes it less likely we do something stupid if the spot price tanks temporarily. There are plenty of other ways to try and profit as a ‘trader’ if one is so inclined.

Thank you Mr. ' Pelican'. Actually I am convinced about the future of precious metals and have invested heavilly in their producers. As ft tis70's it was 50 Dollars . What is that worth in 2024 ; 150 dollars minimum. we will know that the future is paved with gold when Berkshire acquires a big stake in Newmont or Barrick and then the herd will run in. The leverage in the producers could be incredible.

@@timothyoherlihy5391 Indeed. I bought Newmont around $40, on the breakout from the low around 30. Still holding. I have a couple mid tiers, and a basket of jrs. One of which is up over 100%, one of which is down over 50%. Those are my two largest positions, so they cancel each other out I guess. The rest are a mixed bag, but my dad (who died in 2021) invested in SA miners starting in the 70s and was a serious coin collector taught me a lot about selection. And he left me a few stocks in his IRA with instructions on each on how long to hold, etc. Absent that there are some losers I would have dumped. But the cost of capital was zero and honoring his legacy is kind of cool. I still have 6 years before the IRA has to be totally liquidated. So I can be patient. Like you, I am looking forward to the eventual capital rotation event. And I continue to add to physical every month, currently 100% adding silver, 12-15 Oz per month. The next couple of weeks will be quite "interesting" for gold (I'm a gold guy, don't trust silver as it is an industrial metal with numerous applications, even though i keep stacking some of it hoping "good" times will come to convert it into gold). FED cuts, BRICS summit...wonder if this september will be one of those traditional "weak" gold months as I hoped to get some more of it or will have to sell and wait for a full-blown recession and buy back then...Hope you update your time-table in a couple of months when fresh data is collected
