@@RobertLee-wi5kc THe general TREND is up overall and for years per the analysts I mentioned. There will likely be intermittent downward reductions, 1/8, 3/8 here, there. Then there are "unforseen" circumstances like a major disaster.

@@sftita Yes sir I love charts too. If you wish to look at a daily chart you will note that the "general trend" whatever that is has a high in may and since has had lower highs and lower lows. I think that means trend is down on that time frame. On a 5 year chart yes the trend is up. Sadly if silver/gold continue down my question to you is A) When would you say the trend is down? I am guessing if it breaks 20.00 B) What the hell do you do then? If you are a "Perma Bull" then you say things like It will go back up, I can't sell it now, oh I can now buy more at a lower price. I heard the same thing in Stock Market 2008. I sold, I got short, I am making money and if it takes out 31.25 then I will buy back and break even. There are always "unforseen" circumstances like major disasters which is a salesmans aid to sell silver. When banks failed it did not drive the price of silver higher!!! Call me evil as I am short but I am also a short term trader. I am here to HODL. (Hold on for dear life)

I have the best reason of many good and not so good ones; Gold is the New Real Estate. Before my husband died, we were saving to buy a house. We had the 20% down payment, the 12% of the cost of the house for maintenance and repairs, and the cash reserve for furnishings. Now, that dream is up in smoke, not only because my husband died recently, but the price of houses is stupidly high. If the market crashes to 50%, the prices will still be at nosebleed levels. So, I am putting ALL that extra cash into gold and silver. Klaus Schawb and the WEF won round 1, "You will own nothing and you will be happy". Round 2 are cars. After that, I don't know. So GOLD is the NEW REAL ESTATE.

Jayna, Very sorry for your loss. My wife passed in April. Buy gold bars, not coins or certificates. Coins have a numismatic value, which most people do not understand, myself included. A 1oz 999.9 gold bar will always be a 1oz bar. Just a note, for every 1000 gold bars, there are 17,000 gold certificates. My opinion, certificates are for portfolio investment, gold bars have actual value. Also, gold is now a Tier 1 classification, its money, not currency. Good luck...

​@richardgadoury8452 Bars and coins have a small difference in price... I got a Gold maple leaf coin $10 cheaper than a bar once. Coins are more recognized and easier to check if they are real without a expensive machine. Buy gold coins that are bullion NOT collectibles.

The good news about stacking and prepping for hard times is that we aren't waiting for the last minute to get done the things that can take months or even years to get done. Those who do will be heading into disappointment due to the speed with which time will run out on them. This is a lot like Hemingway's comment on going bankrupt... very slowly and then very fast. By buying what we are likely to need ahead of time, we have the time to think and plan and not be hysterical about it... unlike those who wait until the need is upon them.

Yes, it most certainly is a long game. The only PM owners out there who are disappointed in their stacking are those who had unrealistic expectations of sudden wealth from their PMs, never realizing that PMs primarily *preserve* our wealth rather than increase it. Meanwhile, inflation is robbing us all of any work-product stored in fiat currency. Congrats on your long-term stacking. I did not start stacking until 2010. But my reason for being late to the party is good: I was too busy making money in the stock market to worry about alternatives to currency. 2008 changed that considerably. I did a lot of research on this and came to the conclusion that owning PMs outside the monetary system was a good idea to protect what I had. Although I had only paper losses in 2008, by not selling any lower priced shares, I had no real losses. All too many people panicked and sold shares in 2008, thus locking in their paper losses as real losses. This also created another problem for the sellers in that many of them were unable to get back into the market at a good time, so they completely missed the large gains of 2009-2010. Jack Bogle once said that all investors should "stay the course". That went along with his company's symbol of a sailing ship and the implication that staying on course would result in us getting where we were going... and it did.

@@HoneyBadger80886 Jup, these are also my 2 favorite investments. PMs because it has worldwide adoption and will always work, even though fees are a bit annoying shortterm. Bitcoin because it's super easy to store, transfer and use internationally, while beeing pretty much impossible to confiscate. Adoption is still low so using it would currently still be some work. And then I have some stocks because it is highly liquid and fees are pretty much nonexistant. You can literally sell all your stocks today, transfer it to your bank account, back to the broker and rebuy all of your stocks. If prices don't change and there are no taxes, the whole process costs you like 0,5% and that's pretty awesome. So yeah, I try to split the little money I have into these 3 buckets. And I feel like whatever happens in the future, I will be able to access and use most of that just fine.

@@nooneimportant779 Yes, there are and it is myopic not to recognize this. PMs are great tools in anyone's financial tool box. But buying them and never developing a solid plan about how to actually make the best use of them pretty much undermines the effort. My stack has these purposes and will be used for them: 1) making sure that I can pay my property taxes during hard times; 2) as a hedge against inflation; 3) as an interesting and fun hobby; 4) as a savings program; and 5) as a supplement to my retirement income. If owning PMs did any of these things, they would still be worth stacking. Agree 100% on freeing ourselves from debt, especially medium to longer term debt that compounds over time. My wife and I became debt free in 2014. We still have credit cards for convenience but pay them off every month. We have no mortgage or car payments, so our financial needs are modest. Our savings are substantial and the income from them allows us to travel, help our kids and grand kids, and buy pretty much anything we really need. Life is good, especially for those who worked hard, saved religiously, spent very carefully, and had a good plan for the future.

I would advise everyone to never by metals if you are in debt. Any investment the risk isn't worth being in debt over and metals aren't even an investment. You can't store wealth you don't have. Pay off debts then save.

I am doing something similar, although I did buy several rolls of 1964 Kennedy halves about a month ago. Haven't bought any silver since 2021 but I have a weakness for Morgan dollars and Kennedy halves. But something I am noticing is that the dips that we used to get and the dips we're now getting don't look the same. Previous dips were usually in the 10-12% range in price while the ones we're getting now are more like 3-4%. Sometimes this makes them difficult to recognize as dips. These new dips also do not last as long, so buyers have to be quicker to grab what they can when such a modest dip does occur. 😕

I see gold and silver as a savings account. If, for example, the present value of 2 oz of gold will cover your expenses for a month, chances are 2 oz of gold will still cover your expenses in 10 years time regardless of how many dollars that may be then.

You have it correct. The PMs hold value in 10 years or 100 years they hold value and inflation does not steal from the PM in hand. The biggest caveat I can share with you is???? Never go search to sell,, or negotiate the sale of value PMs, and take more than one unit (one bar, one coin, etc) with you. The reason, the price of the PMs is getting too high for a mistake, example to sell too low is a mistake, and to be in an emotional sale of 10 ounces at one time is dangerous if you mistake your sale price, and take a low price for 10 units in error. Never take more than one unit to deal at a time. Remember this,at all times, also, the buyer is trying to purchase from you at the lowest price, and you the seller are trying to get the highest price. Write down the lowest price you will take on a piece of paper, and keep it in your pocket, for selling only one unit. do not deviate. So it is not a fault to come home with the unit in our pocket still, it is being SMART..... Truly, you can do a dance to find the true level value of your unit the next day or another week later. When selling such a true, fair-value item, the price to be best for you, most likely will be enhanced if you, go very slow, and very targeted, as the buyer will be accustomed to an experienced method, to purchase using his /her "purchase dance". You need specific targets, to follow to gain advantage to succeed with the fair price, not a lower than expected price., on emotion to a fast talkING buyer. It never hurts to walk away, NEVER HURTS TO SHOW YOUR FORDATUDE TO GAIN FAIR SELL PRICE.

Fascinating report as always. Stacking metals for 16 years I no longer "freak out" on the price moves. Retired with no debt does make my life easier, and I still work part-time to keep my mind "fresh" and use that money to add to my stash. I never expected to still be staking at this point, however the way things are going it seems to be the wise and prudent thing to do. I buy it, record it, put it away and enjoy each day to the max. Yes, same here, although the presentation would be improved if the chart and the small window where Bald Guy is speaking did not overlap. I like to copy and paste these charts to save them on my PC for future reference. I can deal with smaller charts better than I can with losing part of the chart to the video window, especially when it covers one of the chart axes. Some charts contain some empty space where this small window could be placed, which would help by not covering anything useful.

In 1987 I had six houses in London interest rates doubled and I lost it all. I started reading about historical property prices at the peak house prices were 5.75 times average earning in 1987 and they had never been that high. In 1995 houses were down to three times so I tried again. I flipped and flipped ended up with a large country property and when house prices hit 6 x earnings in 2003 I sold up and switched into gold. Well house prices didn’t fall as I expected but they went up and down. The house I sold doubled in value the gold went up by a factor of 10. Recently my gold position has gained in value of the country property on a monthly basis.

I stopped trying to talk to coworkers because they'd rather not think about it than face reality. I have two coworkers that spend $40USD on lotto a day, 6 days a week!

Your efforts were impressive but there is no talking to some people. Back in my early days of stacking, 2010-2011, I tried to get people interested in stacking too but the info I presented fell on deaf ears. Not only did they not know even the basics of personal finance, they didn't even want to know them. I gave up and stacked harder so that my own family would be protected from the worst of the hard times coming to us, mostly through government incompetence. I am fully prepared to reject any who failed to listen, had no interest in stacking, and who would come to me in the future when the hard times are upon us all, begging for help. Too bad, so sad. 😕

The truth is that Robert and Peter haven’t been wrong. Look at the trend line for gold and silver price in USD. It’s a steady upward line. Sometimes people have too high expectations. Gold and Silver have protected people well for the most part.

For the past 30 years I have been stacking silver and gold. I knew all along that at some point I would probably have to rely on it to supplement my retirement. I’m 75 and so far I’ve only dipped into my 3500 oz silver stack to pay for a well deserved vacation and it was only 100 oz at that. I also had an exit strategy that if silver hit $30/oz I would sell some. So far I haven’t done that and I still have 15 oz of gold in reserve as well. Today the average price of my gold ounce I purchased is 747$ It looks good to me and I’m looking forward to what will happens in the future because I know that all fiat currencies are going to be destroyed.

I found that the local metal sells (not coin shops, but metal precious metal sellers) are selling silver, but buying only a few different types of silver coins, and NO bars. Odd? Any guesses why?

I haven't heard that but I suppose it has to do with liquidity and what their customers are demanding. I have been buying Philharmonikers a lot lately because of the low premiums on them. Just as I was buying Britannias in 2022.

Could be that these stackers are at or near their stacking goals. Most will stack whatever has the cheapest premium. As you stack you do begin to realize that some forms of metals are perhaps better than others. Examples would be constitutional silver and pre 1933 US gold coins.

I'm a 58 year old grain farmer I've been a semi -serious stacker for nearly all my adult life but became more serious about it in early 2023. Farmland I believe is in a bubble too so buying more I felt a losing proposition why buy something that will start losing value as soon as it is bought? So I decided to buy silver and gold which is looking like a great idea now! The fear a have is a crash in most markets when people also are forced to liquidate precious metals as well or maybe they will buy precious metals when everything else is crashing who knows? But my intentions are to liquidate my metal holdings at some time in the future to buy either more farmland or maybe even a lake house for retirement. I find your content very informative, enjoy your charts and analysis and always look forward to your next video!!

Maybe this is like how earthquakes work? Nothing for a long time as the pressure builds and builds and then a real ripper happens that surprises almost everyone? In some places, we get minor shocks fairly regularly... things in the area of 3-4 on the Richter Scale come to mind. Enough to feel and maybe enough to make the hanging lamps move a bit but not enough to do any real damage. Small but frequent movements are much preferred to a very few really big ones. I was in a 6.5 quake years ago. I ran out of the building I was in and could see the ground rippling like ocean waves. Scared the heck outta me... and I don't scare easily.

Trump might very well strike at Iran, Iran can shut down most certainly the Straits of Hormuz for at least 10 to 14 weeks, maybe for as long 18 to 24 weeks, if the Americans tardy & not on the ball. Iran can absolutely shut down totally Qatari Natural gas aka LNG production for at least 16 to 20 months, maybe even 24 to 36 mths. That be a right bummer for those importing LNG. However conflict with Iran is not gonna lead to global thermo nuclear war. China will be most displeased but at best will provide some sat intel & maybe low keyed smallish scale supply of weapons. Russia will huff & puff in outraged indignation, it might provide some significant large scale weapons shipment & loads of intel support, assuming the conflict in Ukraine has wound down or is winding down. If not arms shipment will be very limited. Russia absolutely will not extend its nuclear umberlla to Iran. That tolerable to some large extent no human techno civilzation extinction event. Biden is slow walking Nato into global thermo nuclear war with Russia not quite yet China. Russia vastly superior to China vis a vis strategic delivery platforms & nuke warheads. Nuclear war with China will be necessary limited due to the laughably small numbers of Chinese nuclear weapons & delivery platforms. With Russia it might not be limited because Russia has at least 11 to12 times the weight of China in terms of nuclear weapons. So from a human techno civilization surival prespective, rather Trump then Biden, as he by far the lesser of 2 evils. Likely nuclear war with Iran is very, very much less impactful then with Russia. Likely nuclear war with China excluding Russia is much less impactful then nuclear war with Russia. Avoiding nuclear war with Russia is an absolute imperative, with China strongly desirsable but not not absolute imperative, with Iran the risk is quite tolerable & might be good for Yankee oil & LNG exports. 😊

I disagree with that. I think I precious metals will go thru the roof if Biden is re-elected much like gun sales did when Obama was elected. The cat is out of the bag now for Biden and this country will go nuts if Biden is re-elected. People have faith that Trump can fix the economy. Maybe that faith is displaced but that is the belief of much of our country at the moment. If the population believes that Trump is the savior and he is elected, then precious metals will fall flat for some time until people realize that Trump also has to “inflate or die”. If Biden is re-elected, then people will realize right away that a demented President cannot help them and they must do something to help themselves. This is all assuming, of course, that we even have an election and that these two candidates will be our only choices… God help the USA.

Question: the amount of gold and silver that can be mined is finite. Estimates put the remaining mineable amount at around 15yrs worth. There are 2 things that weren't really covered. First is the artificial suppression of silver prices. The second is that historically, the Silver/Gold ratio has been 12/1. It's hard to say how these will play in, but at some point, "they" won't be able to suppress the price anymore.

Bald Guy… you really stay on point! Indispensable! In mid May the BoC lowered rates. Last week they injected 31.5 billion into the repo market. Question: Does money/fiat creation tend to follow rate cuts? Nothing gonna weaken my strong hands. I refuse to let go unless it’s a major emergency or it’s more than worth it. It’s my thinking we can’t be effective stackers unless the rest of our house is in order.

The Canadian housing market is very fragile right now. Banks are bracing for higher default rates. This may be the reason but I would read on the liquidity injection because it’s the first I’m hearing of it.

another thing to consider is the GSR. your price predictions yield a GSR of 85 = it's already about 79 to 80 so the price of silver will more likely be $54.25 I think the GSR will go even lower due to supply shortages and more demand for the "green agenda" so GSR at 65 means silver is $65.95 . Hang in there folks. It's just starting!

Silver would be for every day to day living expenses. You aren't going to use gold to buy a loaf of bread for example, that would just be silly. A loaf of bread is what a 1/10oz silver coin would be for for example.

I don't know how much a quart of milk is on average in the states but here a litre of milk(nearest measurement to a quart) is £1 which at current spot price for silver would be 0.74g of silver.
