I've been on a Kookaburra kick also. Have all the under mintage 1oz coins from 2000 - 2024 so far. Now just have the easy higher mintage years to pickup as I find good deals. Do you collect any of the 10 ozers? if so I know a reputable online coin dealer that has the 3rd rarest year of 10 oz (4th rarest BU Kook of all sizes ever) at a crazy price, well under what you see recent 10 oz sizes with mintages of 10x selling for.

@@weeklybullion Just picked up a 2021 10 oz Kook for a very low price from Golden Eagle Coin. They have a few more in stock. Only 2,391 minted (3rd lowest 10 oz, 4th lowest BU Kook of any size). Other than that I just have the 2023 10 oz Kook. Currently I just need the 2008 - 2014 1 oz kooks to have all the 1 oz coins from the Year 2000 and forward. Remaining coins are all 300,000 or 500,000 Full mintages, so easy to find at reasonable prices.

Why are 1oz bars more than the bullion coins? Also why is the maple leaf more? Does the .999 .9999 make a difference?

Premiums on 1 oz government-backed bullion change all the time. (Same for bars. Vintage bars also seem to command a very high premium.) It seems as though maple leaf coins are going for a bit of a higher premium. I wish I knew, but all I do to manage that is to continue to stack bullion weekly.

I understand your sentiment, and many people agree with that. But I’ve also heard the fact that you’re giving that foreign government your fiat (weaker form of money) in exchange for gold (strongest form of money). Hence, you’re always winning by holding the gold in your possession on OUR 🇺🇸 soil!
