Events can't be permanent because of storage limitations, although they could add a cutscene gallery for every important event or make the events available as an optional download

I've always been thinking of an Event Compendium so new players may be able to go and complete old events, maybe they wont get the same rewards, but they probably do need a way to get things like Dodoco Tales and Cinnabar Spindle...maybe with Refinements purchasable with Starglitter

fischl hasnt shown up in events because of oz's cn va. He comitted adultery and i think there was some controversy for quite awhile and fischl being 'jailed' in timeout is an accidental shit that came along with oz being 'jailed'. he did get a new va tho, so thats probably why shes shwing up now

I haven't played 1.1, but someone else who did got a mention of Leonard in a later dialogue, so it does track all the way back to 1.1. But Fischl wasn't really present anywhere after that, as far as I know, so maybe the pop-up was to remind everyone of who she is since so much time has passed?

As someone who did play her event waaaay back I also got the first meeting card. Kinda weird because they knew to fix it at Scaramouch first appearance at inazuma but not here... Oh well nvm, anyway the dialogue on this part of the event is hilarious. From sleepy kazuha to references to other things (Diluc's ult dialogue and other things) Also Alice is an interesting character. Lore wise she's also responsible for Aloy's appearance in Tayvat, basically Alice is a menace

The moment Xinyan meets Mona and Fishl still cracks me up, its so hilarious! All in all, this is probably the best event story since the Archon quest interlude with Shenhe, so deep and alot of character devolopment!

The events are teasers for story to come. As a day one player, the events only enhance the story, but add nothing that is not available in the game presently or that will be in the game. You did miss events, but any lore hints you missed are explained through character story or the game when necessary. It's a reward for those who played at the time when characters recognize you or you get alternative dialogue. New players aren't being punished, veterans are be rewarded.

I like your energy and you reaction about this event. It's fun to see new players first time explore Golden Islands and appreciate the event map. Many old players wanted this map permanent but now when this map is back, they started to complain a lot about the difficulty of quests. People are too greedy with their demand.

Even though I hate the difficulty of the puzzles, it doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. More difficulty means good brain exercise. We don't want rusty memory 😂 I don't know about other players if they appreciate it or not...

It's probably because of storage space. Players are complaining about their storage space as genshin keeps on adding new updates. So keeping these events permanent are definitely gonna impact storage.

Being into fic writing, I actually understood their whole conversation somehow. Fischl has a tendency to use words that are a little older than the current ones known to the normal vocabulary. "Curtail" made me smile. xDD

doing this quest actually made me realize I've never actually met Fischl in the game as well. She WAS one of my first 4-star characters so she's always been there with me but I started playing a week or two after the unreconciled stars event so looking back, it's really weird for them to expect me to canonically know her already and it's such a shame that this is going to continue for future players as well (even the current ones who may have missed previous lore-heavy events like this)

I decided to start watching the Genshin Playlist after finishing all of the TNTLs & Resinless Podcast. I'm 143 vids in so far. I also follow you over on Twitch. This is my first time commenting on a video, but in this one you were complaining about Fischl's lore & limited time events. I had this same realization when I was watching you play the event with Kazuha's back story. But it's also why I enjoy your videos. I started playing around the same time as you but I thought it was too complicated & put it down. I picked it up again when Kuki was 1st released & played for a few weeks before abandoning it again until a couple of months ago. I was still working on Inazuma's Archon quest & now I'm nearly done with Sumeru.

It's actually great that this island is a limited time event because it makes you appreciate the place more. Think about the Chasm and Dragonspine. We don't visit those places often unless there's an event/story needed for it. Idk if you know about Unus Annus but it's one of the things I loved being able to experience that. I'm not sad that it's gone but I'm happy that I experienced it so I have the same mindset of it as Golden Apple Archipelago :)

My silly theory on The Kathrynes is that they're not completely human, but they have some connection to Celestia, like as the face of the Adventurer's Guild they're probably the most likely to find those who would be compatible with Visions. Something that happened after or during Khaenri'ah and The Traveller has damaged the Kathryne connection but not destroyed it, so that's why we get random error messages from Kathrynes, they sometimes lose the Celestia Connection. but that's just me going silly on things.

Tbh Venti in an instant turning to the character attacking him - is a nice detail. Like while being relaxed and easy going like 99.9% of the time these days - at all times he is an archon. Always ready to face off any real threat.

In my opinion, some stories are locked behind time-limited events because the size of the game would be so huge if each updates leave behind the story quest and also domains and maps.. Would be quite confusing too on how new players do which quest first if they are all available.. If I may suggest a solution, they should provide the summary of each events correlated with current ones, similar to where they introduce fischl.. In this case, the super short summary of previous island event is mentioned in Venti's "singing" (?)

If this island is permanent, it won't be as fun as it is now. I've played this game since the beginning and I'm so happy they didn't make GAA permanent. I mean, look at Dragonspine, Chasm and Enkanomiya. Tell me how many of you enter those area alot nowadays and walk around in it? Pretty sure nobody enters the Enkanomiya anymore when they finished everything in there. That's why some things must not be permanent to make it more special. I'm glad they make GAA limited time because if not I won't be as excited as I am now to explore it all over again. Nostalgia hits, yanno? But then this is only my opinion and everyone is subjected to their own ^^

My opinion is that Mondstadt isn't as fun as it WAS, neither is Liyue, or any of the other regions until new content. I think if the GAA stayed, and was just changed every year, at least it's extra area for us to explore over time and that NEW players also get to experience. The fact that new players will never get this content is a crime imo

I didn't finish the event yet but what I played was awesome! It's also pretty funny to listen to the Genshin cast trying to speak my beloved native language, german. I mean, Immernacktreich? What they mean. Immer = always nacht = night reich = nation, country etc. But instead of nacht thes say nackt which means nude or naked.

Like I totally get your point on the limited-time events, but that's how many games keep their players. I understand why Mihoyo is doing this while I felt the same as the rest of the players. It is really hard to make a good game with constant good content, and Mihoyo sometimes throws out patches that get complained to be "boring" even when we know they are trying their best to keep their game interesting. However when production time comes to play it is hard to keep handing out interesting patches all the time, so they have to make these "limited time" events to lure players to keep playing, or to come back and play just so they don't miss this chunk of the story. Personally, though, it is a shame that the new players don't get the first golden apple stories anymore but I think this event does not require the old event to understand it fully. I do like this golden apple event far more than the first one! I'm sure as the game progresses and as more events pass by, eventually Mihoyo will bring those events' stories back so others can play it as well.

about the alice part and her visiting klee... ur correct.. ignore ur chat.. alice herself confirmed in the first island event on the speaker thing that see frequently shows up in mondstadt to see klee and kinda laughs and say she finds it funny or something at how nobody there ever catches on to her presence nor has the slighest idea shes there when shes there.. so it seems shes not being sneaky.. just that she shows up to see her daughter specifically and frequently then leaves immediatly again.. repeat.. hence why nobody notices her ever there despite visitin often.. she herself confirmed that... aka yes shes on a long trip as chat mention butt she confirmed she still casually and regulary pops into monstadt to visit... so ur right ur chat is wrong xD dont let them them convince ur otherwise.. lmao also venti being the wind god.. probably clearly senses her every time she shows up... also im confident alice knows venti is the anemo archon too..

here the thing, how many times how you come back to enkanomiya? or dragon spine if it is not for an event? or the islands on Inazuma other than the main ones? i am happy this event is just for this few weeks because i know they will disappear, and that will make me super exited to re visit them, just as it happened now, if they were there permanently they will be abandoned all this months until next summer, and after all this is a mobile game, ergo, more usage of gb, so thats why mainly this beautiful place is out for us once a year.
