Lots of military bases have museums (often Regimental ones) - the Rotunda at Woolwich Arsenal (including an amazing Chinese dragon cannon), the armoury museum at Larkhill (Salisbury) etc... though often they have no public access. Researchers may go there by permission. Some others are based at public sites like the Welch Fusiliers display at Caernarfon Castle, but presumably have curated collections that are stored and not displayed, too. I remember being alarmed by the captured SS daggers!
