Kicking off this year's anticipated awards season with a bang, the Golden Globes took place in Los Angeles last night with a complete transformation including introducing two new categories: Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.
There was an excellent turnout of celebrity style this year, from Ayo Edebiri looking red-hot in custom Prada to Dua Lipa arriving in bespoke Schiaparelli, while Florence Pugh wore a bold Valentino flower-laden gown.

Selena’s dress wasn’t good. Far too busy for her petite frame: the asymmetrical bubble skirt, the black waistband, the 3 crisscross things with black embellishments, the shape of the neckline and arms. And then black and red? Just too much.

None of these are worth a second glance, to be honest. I don´t know what has happened to designers lately, but most gowns are either unimaginative or needlessly vulgar, and they are rarely properly tailored to a person wearing them. At this level, I´d expect a lot more.
