The comment Jack Nicholson made about Nicole Kidman's nose was a reference to her Oscar-winning performance in The Hours. When presenting the award, Denzel Washington announced it as "and the winner is... by a nose... Nicole Kidman", referring to the prosthetic nose she used to portray Virginia Woolf in the movie.

Nicholson's remarks on Kidman's nose and Mulroney's hair weren't cringy at all: Nicole famously wore a nose prosthesis for her role as Virginia Woolf in "The Hours" for which she won a Golden Globe at the exact ceremony. Nicholson rightfully made a joke about the Hollywood Foreign Press putting "About Schmidt" in the drama category. They are notorious for placing films in categories they don't belong so they expand their chances of being nominated. For example they put the science-fiction drama "The Martian" in the best comedy category. Anyway, when was speaking of Mulroney's hair he was referring to the mullet Mulroney's character sports in "About Schmidt", because it looked so ridiculous that it was clear said movie was a comedy.

Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg were terrible hosts. I wish this show would go back to just not having a host like pre 2010 when it was fast paced and they would honor the nominees more. I'm surprised this list has no jokes from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who were hysterical.

Ok, not all of these are controversial, Some are just cringy or embarrassing, but we really need to back off this overused term, "controversial." For examplex how is the classy and clever Blanchett even in this video?! She wasn't nearly as drunk as half the people in the room, and even if she was, sure sounded ans looked a whole lot classier and funnier than they would have Then again, some behaviour actually IS controversial and doesn't even get the attention it deserves, because people have grown so accustomed to the keyword. That being said, your number one pick, I couldn't agree with more! That was super inappropriate on any possible level, only made worse by how much he defended poking her boob (I work as a model and obviously you get touched all the time, but nobody has ever poked my breast from the side and asked are you wearing a bra under that).

The only time that the Golden Globes are controversial is why does it exist in the first place. The Critics Choice Awards, the BAFTAS, the SAG, DGA, PGA, etc. are understandable. But the Golden Globes not so much. Plus last years host was garbage. At least he can act in Poor Things. But not in comedy shows.

This video PROVES movies that are absolutely terrible.. nobody watched and very few people even remember now GET FRIGGIN AWARDS! These awards are TOTALLY DISGUSTING NOW.. and it started when movies like that TIGER ON THE BOAT movie, I can’t remember the name.. won for best picture and it absolutely SUCKED.. the days when GENUINELY GOOD MOVIES like Forrest Gump, Terminator, One Flew over the cuckoos nest’ won the awards.. NOW WOKE, RIDICULOUS HORRIBLE MOVIES WIN BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SEND A MESSAGE.. I have no idea what the message is but they do..
