I recorded these two steam excursion specials on the 25 September and 27 September respectively. The Golden Hind I recorded at Exeter St Davids while the Mayflower was captured at Dawlish.

Tom, the two Class 20,s were back-up locos in case of failures of one or both Castles. They preceded the train to Plymouth, then 'copy & paste' on the return trip. They would then take the train on from Bristol to Birmingham. Much more aestheticaly pleasing than towing a Class 47 around all day.

Hello Dave, thank you very much for clearing that up for me. I really wasn't sure of the exact involvement of two Class 20's but it was great to see them, especially as I have a model version of 20142. Thanks again.
