TJD is 23 years old. He was the 2nd best player in the NCAA tournament behind player of the year Zach Edey. 3rd was Brandon Miller. He fell in the draft because NBA teams prefer drafting younger players in the 1st round they can develop, where 3-4 year players are kinda who they are. That’s at least how they view it

@@CrowClouds the NBA used to only draft juniors and seniors out of college. There were 4-5 players drafted 18-19 years old through the 90’s, and 3 of those were in the 90’s. Keep in mind the NBA prior to 1974 teams drafted players until they just decided to stop, then the draft was 10 rounds until ‘88 when it was 3 rounds, and in ‘89 it went to the current 2 round format.

The big problem they are trying to solve is keeping Draymond and Steph on the floor together. They where trying to have Draymond lead the bench but the bench sucked and Stephs time on the floor was suffering to with Draymond on the bench. I think with CP3 playing his pick and roll style and leading the bench they will have way more offensive looks to switch it up when it gets repetitive.

He's perfect for the offensive minded Kerr. Draymond and Loony can help develop his low post defense. Plus he's seldom strays from the basket which helps clog the driving lanes. A perfect fit IMO

I get tired off hearing people saying that Kerr doesn't want a Traditional Center. They've had four. Two retired due to injuries. 1 left because they couldn't afford him. And it was impossible to get Wiseman enough playing time to develop, and defend a championship.

When they came off the floor, guys like Wiseman would come on and they would lose leads, and games. They moved Draymond to the 2nd unit, sat Wiseman, and the Warriors started winning again. He's exciting certainly and brings an athleticism and size the team is missing while being a far more polished basketball player than Wiseman ever was. I'm less optimistic that some parts of his game will transition smoothly to the NBA. Against the bigger, stronger more experienced players in the league I'm not sure the shot blocking will look anywhere near as good. He'll need to learn what he can from Loon and be way more disciplined.

The great thing about TJD he had the highest vertical in the NBA combine I believe, so he’s way more athletic than we were here. He also played in the BIG10 which in college basketball is one of the elite conferences along with the ACC. He’s a great addition with CP3’s leadership. I think he’ll be a heck of a player.

huge difference between him and wiseman. He has brain, bigger hands and thick legs that allows thim to hold his position. Wiseman is much taller and athletic but no too smart, and got pushed around.

TJD is CP3’s new Blake Griffin and JK and GP2 will catch CP3 lobs as well. Wiggins will get CP3 lobs too. CP3 will have Lob City by the bay humming on the bench this season. Corey Joseph is a better version of DLee and way better than Ty Jerome.

It doesn’t matter who the warriors pick up as long as they keep their core players (Steph, Klay, Draymond, & Looney) they’ll always be championship contenders. W/ the addition of the point god CP3, he’ll be able to unlock Kuminga, Moody, & TJD while taking off some of the on ball pressure off Steph & giving good quality mins off the bench or however Kerr mix up the rotations. GS is the perfect example of how basketball should be played on all cylinders a team that doesn’t centers around one or two players, unselfishness, up-tempo, good defense, & all around team first mentality.
