Congratulations! Although not fully satisfying, ONE is GOOD! I caught/photo/released a single LKGT on a small Creek that feeds the LKR many years ago in my successful CA-HTC. My current research states the trail access to that Creek is still closed by the USFS (fire damage). A good fishing buddy states the road to the Forks of the Kern trailhead has been repaired by locals but the “forks” flow rates are still dangerous and crossing the LKR is still impossible. I plan to “catch/release my “second fish” later this summer when the Sierra flow rates and Kern Valley temps subside!
