I understand the feeling of letting your former best car go. You had many good memories with the car. I am in the market for an rs3 but I just can't get myself to sell my R yet. It just looks so good and it drives so well. It's not a 5 cylinder like the rs3 but add some mods to it at it will be pushing 400 HP no problem. Amazing car. I decided that I will keep my R for a few more years, tune it and drive the living crap out of it. Once prices for rs3's drop and when I put a good amount of miles on the R, I will sell it then.

Rs3 are always this divine conquest for golf R owners but it never meets the expectations. Hope it does for ya, but im sure you already found out it aint it. I give it 5 or 7 months before you trade it.

Congrats. What kind of brakes did you pick up? I just bought the Neuspeed 6-Piston Big Brake Kit BBK kit for the GTI. Hoping to install this week. You need a beater for the winter.

Depends what you expect out of a car. RS3 is great and prices seem to really be dropping (after I purchased mine of course…) 😂

@@NewEnglandPete RS3 is my top choice for Audi also considering the S3 as well. Mk8 is a mixed bag but possible.

@wesleyjones1169 I would skip the S3 completely and just go RS3. Otherwise the Golf R is superior to the S3. More supportive seats, easier to navigate interior too!

I’d a hung on to the R and saved for car #2. I’m planning on hanging on to my ‘21 GTI for a long time especially if EV’s happen. Look forward to seeing the Audi journey. 🔥
