**VIDEO SPOILERS BELOW** A couple unorganized thoughts on World of Goo 2: I don't really mind chapter 5 having a short runtime, I think the main mechanic had run its course back in chapter 2. By the end of both this game and the first game, I remember having more frustration than fun with the finnicky goo bridges. If they had more ideas like in chapter 4 for this game, then I would openly welcome more gameplay, but the idea well seems to have run dry. If I was to give myself advice for playing the first time, it would be to skip the optional levels, and not play with OCD in mind. I think then, I would've fallen into a better flow state and avoided frustration. All the variations on goo manipulation were fantastic and kept my interest longer than expected. I especially enjoyed manipulating liquid goo. It really is only the generic bridge building that I'm tired of. Every level, sound, visual, and writing was made with love, and you could feel that love oozing through the screen. There was a good balance of easy and hard earned laughs, as well as a few moments of touching sincerity, though I wouldn't have minded more. This ultimately is a game that thrives on its polish, and I'm left satisfied from that. If I had to rate it: 6/10 (Good) Again, thanks to Patreon support, I don't drop series due to low views (like this one) anymore. hmmm... On one hand this game seemed pretty solid, but on the other Im just not sure it really warranted a sequel. I really expected a bunch of new mechanics and well, it's not that there weren't any, there were several but imho not enough to justify a whole game. Most of it was also VERY similar to the first game, which is both good and bad. I think the most original part of the game was chapter 4 and more specifically the RPG levels, but also like, those levels really had nothing to do with the rest of the game at all. Personally, I purchased it when I found out that it existed but then wasn't able to make it through the game without getting bored and just watched your series instead. It helped being able to skip all of the tedious repetitive parts by having them be edited out of the video. Watching this episode it really seemed like they were in a hurry to just get the game over with, having ch. 5 be incredibly short with some fairly basic levels. I mean the bridge level was literally the exact same as another level but a little bit harder. If these levels were at least a difficult final gauntlet with some very precise and challenging levels then maybe I could see it? Overall it just kinda felt like they lacked the creativity to fully flesh out a whole sequel, and honestly maybe they would've been better just making that RPG game on its own with maybe some world of goo references like they do with all of their other games. By no means a bad game, but probably still a mild disappointment.
