So the pull rate for the serialised Edgar is purportedly 1 in 8000 collector packs - which is (appropriately enough) 1 in 666 boxes

I've been wondering about the print run, where did you see this? With 500 Edgars to pull, if the odds were at 1 in 8000 collector packs would be a print run of ~ 4 million packs. Honestly don't think the print run is that high since the product is already feeling somewhat scarce.

@@datmuhq6821 I've heard a few other mtg content creators mention that number, but can't find the source for it myself. Some MTG finance guys reckon the print run is more like 2.5mil. Lance from Rip and Ship usually has the right numbers, so probs worth checking out his streams

Also, I don’t know what kind of drugs my box was on, but I just opened one and I got 7 secret rares. In 7 of the packs, the slot right before the basic was a rare. I had to double check so many times and counted the totals and I count 55 rares. Very strange

it's me or they have cut a rare slot in those packs? wasn't usually 5 rare+ cards per pack? Anyway Delver of secrets old layout foil is kinda a hit it's so sad to see it being skipped like nothing

That 5th rare is usually a commander slot (i.e. cards from the commander decks accompanying the release). Remastered sets do not have a commander release, so that slot is just cut. Still feels bad to have a more expensive product with less rares/mythics yeah.
