I do not mind the sets with less cards and packs with less cards which causes more duplication, but until the pricepoint reflects these things I'll just enjoy you guys opening them for other people!

It's weird because it somewhat already does. People is paying 10+ for MH normal packs and paid 20+ for Double Masters 2 packs. Not forgeting the collector boosters themselves. They just halved the cards per pack instead of doubling the price.

im buying this set because AC is one of my all time favorite game series but im not happy about it getting the epilogue treatment at standard set prices, if it was a universes beyond with a series i didnt care about it would have been a 100% skip

No, the oil slick was unique to the special Phyrexia bundle. It wasn't particularly impressive.

@@neoVIVE I would call it a textured foil or raised foil, but who knows what Wizards called it. They come up with all kinds of wacky nonsense names to juice the marketing these days. None of it really means anything and a lot of them you have to see in person to understand what makes them different, because Wizards neither describes them adequately nor produces appropriate pictures.

Cool opening! think this set is ok. I wish they would’ve just gone all out the way they did with lotr or even fallout. The aftermath style packs just seem a little too repetitive and bulky despite there being “bulk” removed. Just like aftermath it feels like I’m paying the same for less. Idk how they’d remedy that ? Include box toppers perhaps? I agree with the “less bulk” logic but can’t shake the feel. The short print run ought to help with some of that. Hitting a serial definitely would. lol.

Great question I don’t have the answer for. Bloomburrow very soon as well. I don’t think there’s any other AC games or shows coming out soon, so I guess it’s to get it on the shelves for the summer

I am not an active collector or mtg player, I just enjoy the community and content so I might have a weird view on this stuff. That said, from a market perspective, some of the release dates on expanded universe stuff confuses me greatly 😅

Collectors were extremely short again just like Fallout, but our main distro managed to snag us a few extra after someone else cancelled. Love them! Bundles seems tight too, Beyond packs should be around a while like Fallout commander decks.

I think a lot of people who dislike this set (such as myself) is in part due to the AC IP not being appealing, the bland uninspiring artwork (a very subjective criterion of course), and the cards themselves not being mechanically interesting enough to play with (with a few exceptions). So it isn’t going to bother me at all whether this set skyrockets in price or not 🤷‍♂️
